Sadly yes.. And nothing we can do to change that. But personally I feel that mik badges are improving generally. Especially the warranty they are offering. Kia has 5 years/unlimited mileage as compared to the usual 3 years/100k mileage. At least it seems they are more confident of the cars they are producing.

I think the 5yrs/unlimited mileage warranty only applies to certain parts of the car, and it's not a comprehensive warranty.

Better to check with C&C regarding the details of what the warranty covers.

Yes, the 2011 cruze is made in korea.

I never enquired about the OMV, but the SE said 91K with 9k of discount/rebate = 82k roughly.

if you book one now, it will arrive in june/july.

If need to make appointment to view the 2011 Elantra, I think Komoco had better wake up their idea. What they think they are selling? Limited and very exclusive rides? Crazy isn't it? By anyhow listing their price irregardless of the rise or fall of the COE prices is already a very bad practice. Just viewing a normal family saloon need to make appointment... Hahaha... They must be mad to implement this rule!!

Kmc still think the new elantra can sell like hot cakes as the avante. But sadly due to high COE price, dont think it will happen, not because the car itself no gd, it is because the price is high. [rolleyes]

Actually, they might.

The Hyundai i45 has been selling pretty well despite the high COE prices.

And look at the similarly priced Toyota Corolla Altis to the Avante Premium. At almost $90k, there will still be willing buyers of such cars.

They sell their existing cars for profit, and dump this profit into the new car.

Left hand to right hand passing money strategy =)

i45 selling well really? i dont see that many on the road... in fact if i'm lucky, i see one i45 once every 2 or 3 days.. compared to so many other cars

i also agree that avante wont sell well.. as with most other mid range jap or korea cars

Haha, sure to have buyer interested in hyundai cars lo, but the sales wld not be as high as when the COE was low ma. If there are completely no one buy their cars, they wld have close down liao. [:p]

I have a different opinion, the new Altis is priced at 90k as well and I guess that KM are pricing the Elantra in a similar price brackets. If we compared specs and features, I believe the Elantra will even outshine the Altis. The Altis is the most popular in this market segment. The fact is that prices for all cars are up .... we are seeing decent B&B cars starting from 80k.

I foresee KM reducing the prices after a few months when the interest for the car dies or when COE drops.

Meanwhile, KM will take the opportunity to reap the market and make the maximum profit.
