Since I might also buy from him, thanks a lot. All SEs have a $4k Budget from the list price. Within this range they can offer you a few options: (1) $2K D 6 bids G (2) $4K D 8 non G bids (3) $3K D 6 non G bids (4) $3K D + 2 year free service 8 non G bids Some get free front blackvue (if you order more than 2 cars) As for this Tony Tan SE, apparently there's rumors that he confirmed that the 2016 outback comes with eyesight system. So far for those who booked.. Their SE said no such thing. Only have Rear Vehicle Detection System. So all of us who booked are placing our hopes on Tony Tan the SE. After all he is a Tan n MI is part of TAN Chong.

There is no point keep bring tony tan into the picture anymore. For those potential buyer, the safest bet is to wait or write in to motor image for latest 2016 spec/equipment list. Agree bro. i think he kena misrep..Or mis-comm ha, thanks for so detailed explanations, bro. Last time i discuss with him, I think he is offering 1k discount and 5 year servicing with 8 non G bids, since I was asking 5 years servicing, but I am not sure 3 year servicing worth the 3k? Or any bro can share the experience of the X year free servicing VS servicing outside. Should I ask for more discount or more free servicing? Any good or bad, thanks. For the eyesight, I understand it's really cool and fancy, but I doubt we will get it installed in 2016 OB, because when he introduced the OB to me, he didn't mention about the eyesight... Of course it will be best if the new OB have it, let's pray together:))) Car comes with 5 yr warranty. Think if you service outside.. Warranty void. As for eyesight.. Am also hoping
Cosmicclaw 6th Gear February 29, 2016 Share February 29, 2016 Seems to have quite a few new Outback owners in this thread lately. Anyone collected the new 2016 Face Lift model yet? Or have heard from their SE when the new Outback is scheduled to arrive in SG? Seems to have quite a few new Outback owners in this thread lately. Anyone collected the new 2016 Face Lift model yet? Vratenza Supersonic February 29, 2016 Share February 29, 2016 When is the shipment for the latest FL outback coming in? Anyone has the equipment list? What is the average omv and any CEVS rebate or penalty?
Vratenza Supersonic March 1, 2016 Share March 1, 2016 found answer to part of my questions: OMV is about 21K as of Jan 2016 batch of registration. CEVS neutral. And the profit margin (just paper) is about 21K in line with rest of the Cat B lineup across TC/MI
Cosmicclaw 6th Gear March 1, 2016 Share March 1, 2016 When is the shipment for the latest FL outback coming in? Anyone has the equipment list? What is the average omv and any CEVS rebate or penalty? Indeed the official Equipment List will be keenly awaited. Then once and for all, we will know what are the official (and real) upgrades and what are the rumoured upgrades. Vratenza Supersonic March 1, 2016 Share March 1, 2016 For MY2015 OB owners, any idea if the car is fully factory fitted or some items locally fitted? Eg. Leather seats, reverse sensors Any integrated local/Malaysia GPS?
Linux8998 1st Gear March 2, 2016 Share March 2, 2016 For MY2015 OB owners, any idea if the car is fully factory fitted or some items locally fitted? Eg. Leather seats, reverse sensors Any integrated local/Malaysia GPS? Not an owner but has some answers. Leather seats is locally fitted for sure, as you can choose the color you want by paying extra. Reverse camera is integrated into the headunit, but not sure if locally fitted or from factory. SE said the HU and rims, although Subaru factory standard, are imported separately to install locally, to reduce the OMV. Not sure how true it is. But they sure are from factory (where to install is another matter) as shown in brochure. 100% confirmed no integrated GPS. Google map on your phone is probably a good alternative.

I suspected so, with the OMV at this level, unlikely to be factory fitted. Gone are the days when I bought my BL9 legacy from MI, "fully factory fitted" was their selling point. BenTong Turbocharged March 2, 2016 Share March 2, 2016 When its included in the OMV we may end up paying 140% tax on it. Too bad we don't have an assembly plant in Spore. Then maybe no OMV concept. And no ARF technically. Btw did anyone notice that MI reduce their list price midway before the upcoming bid. Down $4k. Hmm what's going on? Sign of lower COE or they lowering the specs of the MY2016?

More affordable, and for those who booked on non-guarantee COE, better chance to get it.

Sign of lower COE or they lowering the specs of the MY2016? No one really wants to pay more tax than necessary especially in Singapore. Reducing OMV to pass on the savings to buyers, this I agree. Reducing OMV to bolster the profit margin, this I do not. OMV play is just one of the many tools by PI/AD to position their product at pricing to move their models against competitors. Each Pi/AD has their own game plan. End of the day, if your choice of car is only available from the particular dealer/AD, then you still have to LLST to buy it from them after comparing it with other models in your final list. Understanding how they squeeze profit from where makes me sleep better handing over my hard earned cash. Price lower is good, isn't it? It means a softer demand, thus expecting COE to go lower. More affordable, and for those who booked on non-guarantee COE, better chance to get it. Can feel the softening. Before the last bid, SEs don't even have the time or incentive to do followup calls/msg. All of them busy taking orders from those who cannot wait. Now I have various SEs asking me on how is my decision etc etc.

Don't think lowering specs will make too much of a dent in car price as OMV already a "manufactured number". ↡ Advertisement
