So did you make your decision if getting the OB or some other ride? [:)]

2nd on my list now. Major plus in its favour will be its full time awd and the price. If the price gap widens with my first choice, it just might overtake to become the final choice. Good thing is I have time on my side.

Any body noticed MI pricing these few weeks. Up then down then up a bit.

That is marketing ploy.

Down abit... MI SE say now cheaper so better book before next revision which will be priced higher.

Up abit, MI SE say if don't book now next bidding expect to revise higher.

Everything they say.

Usually pricing stable between bid periods. This bid period being up and down. Hopefully it's a sign that those who booked will get their COE this time round

I think MI can feel the softening in demand and this is a ploy to create little eddies between bids.

If pricing is stagnant between bids, potential buyer (fence-sitters) who are not convinced to jump in at the current coe/price will hold back and wait for the price after next bid.

Of course this will not work for people who have time to spare and waiting for a more significant price drop.

Can any recent buyers verify. MI list prices imposes a penalty for not taking the inhouse loan and insurance.

The interest rate for loan is pretty high.. 2.7++

How flexible is this rule when comes to final bargaining?

So far non nego. I took $30K loan each for XV and outback and only for 3 years.

And we check the insurance. Not worth the $300 penalty. Asia direct even more expensive than the i house insurance.

My case, in-house insurance actually much higher than direct asia, prolly because i dont have 50% NCD. Difference almost 1k, so i paid penalty for more savings.

Taobao mostly offer stainless-steel model, less sturdy.

The resin cover is nice indeed [thumbsup]. Seems folks in China love the bright shiny stuff. Many of their accessories are in chrome and quite bright. I personally prefer the matt or resin variety.

Besides the rear bumber protector, does MI offer other accessories for OB? Mud flaps, Groovy Shades, cargo tray?

Kinda on the high side if compare to Citibank of 1.6%.

Of course will depends on how much and how long the loan is.

It's $2,500 penalty. So works out to almost the same with Citibank if take $50,000 and 5 years. Their min loan to enjoy the $2,500 rebate is $30K and 3 years.

The banks made more $$$ last time when can loan 80% over 8 - 10 years.

Think have. The bike racks on the showroom outback is a Thule. Definitely not the standard. If you look at the online brochure.. they carry some of the accessories.

Clocking near 3k km now, FC still at around 11km/l , if any bro here getting better FC please share tips   [thumbsup]
