Mz3SP0907 3rd Gear October 21, 2014 Share October 21, 2014 (edited) Increasing acceleration can be Example: years back, I ever raced with my Uno 1.0ie against Jeep Cherokee along NSH (Johore), until he gave up. His car can do many things except race against Uno. . Wow! Your Uno was really something. I like. I had 2 Unos before... one with carburetor, the other was ie... love every bit of it. This is One hell of a 1.0l car. If get the 1.4l turbo... this is out of the world feeling man! Ake109 Supercharged October 22, 2014 Share October 22, 2014 Was told in Jarkata, they replaced the Uno engine for track racing (the car designed for racing). Also overtook every Alpha Romeo along NSH during the trip to Port Dickson with the Leisure Club (the Massa Motor staff took the photos). I am a little disappointed with my Panda when I compare it with Uno (Panda 1.2 can not accelerate like Uno 1.0?). Uno's cd=3.0, Panda's cd=3.4[sweatdrop] Miss those late 80s hatches. I used to have a R5 1.7 GTX. Really wanted a R5 GT turbo but no budget back then. A few years, hopped back into one and the feeling was so different from driving today's heavyweight cars. BTW, you mean 0.34 right? 3.4, I think even a brick wall cannot achieve.
Wild-zy Clutched October 29, 2014 Share October 29, 2014 Hi bro, I am new to car performance. Just curious to know what modification is required that can increase acceleration but stay LTA friendly as well. I have heard many car with very loud engine noise (voom voom), does those meant for more power for the car? Legal? Thanks in advance. Hi friend, I hear from my friend chan, he just bought a ECM Booster - electronic throttle controller from a Chinese girl, he said, it's really works. You can have a try. BTW, not sure if forum rules allow posting of people's phone numbers like that. You might want to take it down. CAChan Neutral Newbie November 20, 2014 Share November 20, 2014 Yup. ECM Booster really work. Don't spend too much of money to modify ur engine or clutch to improve ur acceleration. U can set to ECO (Fuel Saving but Slow Response) or HM9 (Very fast in acceleration but for safety purpose....) I only use HM (Half Manual) which already satisfy me. Try this item. It's really work. Even my car is manual transmission and the response is superb.

This is just a device that help you "step harder" that you actually are. means that if your BHP is 150, even with this device in HM9 and you floor the accelerator your bhp is still 150. What it does is improve throttle responds means if you usually rev at 2k rpm, with this at HM9 it will help you rev to 4k rpm thus you feel the car become more powerful. UNLESS you tell me at HM9 you rev at the usual 2k and the car became very powerful while remaining on a 2k rpm. THEN its power boosting, if not then its just the same old thing than to just step harder. Only a remap can improve the actual horse power or torque, the rest... VS or power slab or whatever is just rubbish.
Mz3SP0907 3rd Gear December 3, 2014 Share December 3, 2014 I think better buy force induction car liao... Improving the volume of air intake. Introducing turbulence into the intake air (case by case). Improving the ignition system over stock ignition. Reduction in the engine driven moving components (case by case). Improving the exhaust air evacuation (case by case). Increasing the engine capacity (limited increase can be done). Improving the aerodynamics of the car exterior (case by case). Raising the temperature of fuel being injected (risky). Kindly feel free to share any others missed out. Many thanks.
Mercury1 Turbocharged December 3, 2014 Share December 3, 2014 Is weight reduction on the list? Assuming no significant loss in traction. Improving the volume of air intake. Chowyunfatt Turbocharged December 3, 2014 Share December 3, 2014 Was there a huge improvement on acceleration? Haha worrying is right The Gains make it Value for money ... But like I said earlier ... You must over come the Storage & Top Up issues ...
Ake109 Supercharged December 4, 2014 Share December 4, 2014 The Gains make it Value for money ... But like I said earlier ... You must over come the Storage & Top Up issues ... And roadside checks by LTA. And when system not engaged, you lose acceleration due to extra weight. On this subject, my understanding is that CNG has a anti-knock rating of nearly 130 RON. If a turbo car is converted to CNG, does that allow crazy high boost levels/compression when running on CNG?
