That is precisely the reason why i asked xiaobao whether his car has arrived. He has replied that his car should arrive next week and i really do not see the reason why AD did not manage to get the COE for him. Your car is scheduled to arrive in Aug and you already got your COE and Xiaobao's car will arrive next week and he did not get his COE. Does not sound logical to me. Maybe XiaoBao's SE really jialat one ..... Not sure about the price, but my friends' SE advise not to ask for discount on the listed price but asked for Freebies instead. One other thing, my friend went for the ex stock unit and AD has to get COE for him if they want to get rid of the stock.

I was told it would be arriving next week and don't understand why the AD is not willing to top up a few hunderd to secure the COE.

Perhaps the price I paid for was when COE was at 37k? anything higher AD no margin to earn? *scratch*

I got a small discount off the listed price cos AD boss was my bro's fren' dad.. -_-

I think Xiao Bao go smoke by the SE already..... I agree with u totally Bro Civic6228, if the car is coming next week, the ADs shld have secure for him earlier and once his car is available and they can do the registration straight away....

I would thought that way too.. last 2 bids, SE told me max bid they will go up to is 40k and last 2 times was 42k plus.

This time, they told me they revised go very high at 43k plus and miss by that few hundred...

Absolutely gutted. [mad] really so zhun?

Wait for next bid.. hopefully can get... I already forgot how the car looks like... lolz

Not logical either - "company" registered cars still compete in the relevant Cat A / Cat B (i.e: if my company buy a company car for me is in the respective cat for engine size)

On the other hand, used in the direct management of a business for profit, and is like a Charter bus (to a certain extent) it does make sense

if car rental must bid seperately, all the more should taxi?

Well, technically they are not wrong if you have booked the car under 6 Non Guarantee Bids. If it is Non Guarantee, you cannot penalise them.

However, I feel that the SE still has a part to play to secure the COE for you. At current COE level , the cost of the car should be around 75k. Below is the link to check the cost for cars registered with the 37k COE.

I guess that your hope would be for COE to drop and if it goes up, your chance to secure the COE is as good as nil.

This is also a lesson learn for me during the last year March COE price surge as many of the bro and sis will remember the "Toyota" super long thread. Now if i really want to get a car, i make sure the ADs give me or purchase a g'teed COE one. Or else i say bye bye to ADs.
