nope, not spongy brakes..

it just cannot stop that well..or should say the braking distance is long..

There's other things to look at before attempting any expensive "downgrade" to normal pump.

1. Stainless steel brake hose - reduce the swelling of rubber to cut the hydraulic power "loss" due to ballooning, in ebrake.

2. Upgrade to better brake pads

3. Check brake calipers

4. Is the vacuum hose to the booster brake pump broken or disconnected ? Some people install guni gong which essentially steals the brake boosting power.

1, really helps? If so, I don't mind investing in a ptfe telfon. After all, the original, I believe is 14yrs old

2, Yeah, I will go for ceramic type. Although kinda wasted, original still plentiful.

3, I guess nothing wrong as it was Just replaced...

4, didn't install such stuff...

Will upgrade to 4 bbk, helps in stopping the distance?

1. Stainless steel brake hose is actually steel braid lined on the outside and ptfe on the inside. Go for Goodridge

They are excellent hose, makes your braking much sharper. I had them on my Getz previously.

It's a worthwhile investment.

4. Brake booster pump, vacuum hose should be checked, in case there's crack or leak, to be replaced.

I won't go that far with big brake kit yet. Just try the above first.
