Those guys at isd are still men (read not directors) after all. They do not draw 5 digit salaries as their bosses does. I'm sure there are pro opps people inside and share the same sediments as us here, just that they do not openly show their intentions. What makes you think that they are not affected by the things that are happening around us? These people are humans afterall. Even if they have incentives for now, they are not the privileged few who draw enough salary that can cover their next generation.

Free sure will get these people. Remember 1/3 of Singapore's populations are foreigners.

The news correspondence was saying "......in its relentless pursue of growth, is leaving many of its citizens further and further behind". But I remember some one said " NO ONE WILL BE LEFT BEHIND". To find out who promised us no one will be left behind, click the link below:

Do you think 100% of those in the civil service will vote for the p8p even with the rumoured threats thrown onto them?

Are you so confident that those in the civil service agree with all the policies that affects them in a negative way?

Come on, like I mentioned, all of us are humans and have feelings and can think logically.

Neutral Newbie

My father-in-law had a brain operation to remove a turmour about 1 year ago in the hospital in jb.

The cost? Rm$130+ for the ops and 1 week stay.

When my wife told me the final bill, i was thinking 130+ thousand.

It was 130+ DOLLARS ringgit!!! And he has NO insurance.

2 countries, 1 with natural resources, the other had the strongest economy in Asia, almost on even ground, yet the medical costs are so far apart.

Don't compare with a cow who paid $8 for a heart bypass. We can only compare when a commoner without any influential background can get the same kind of treatment at the same cost.

Now this is what we call medical benefits.

I agree totally. All of us are human beings with feelings. Even if one is an elite, a wealthy person or even tho the outcome of the election does not in anyway affect one's living, we should still VOTE wisely. When it is time to vote.....the rich or the poor, the elites or the commoners, the privileged or the unfortunate, all will only hold one vote. Just ONE VOTE.

CSM was right. How many 5 years do we have to vote?

Assuming that opps managed to get 1/3 the seats, p8p is still the government.

Whatever dark clouds are forming, p8p as the government still got to solve it. I don't see how the opps will hinder and bring sg down when they are elected.

The housing issue is something that had to be done immediately. If prices keep increasing and a bigger bubble burst, we're going to face our very own sub-prime here.

Want to ask the housing/econs experts... we all know this 'bubble' going to 'pop' inevitably. So does it make sense to tighten belt a bit and pay off loan and own the flat quickly? Or hold out and save more income for rainy day??
