SimonTan 2nd Gear May 27, 2011 Share May 27, 2011 Smaller diameter tyre. So can accelerate timing faster Lower CG, theoretically can karp corner more stable.
Yewheng Twincharged May 27, 2011 Share May 27, 2011 Hmm.. is about 1.8% in speed difference.. So should be ok.. just make sure when change tyre to different spec, the speed difference must not be too great difference.. as it will affect a lot of things.. I also not sure how to explain.. maybe more expert could explain more clearly and why it is important to keep within certain speed % difference and not varies too much. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Speedometer will read faster, fuel comsuption will go up[more turns per KM],more gap between the tyres & the fenders, stick to the standard size the best. Good-Carbuyer 1st Gear May 27, 2011 Share May 27, 2011 FC may be better with the lighter tire. May need to inflate tire with slightly higher pressure. ↡ Advertisement
