As long as its clean, tight and the price is right... why the hell not?

I did. Mine is a resale. Good value for money. Still very tight :D

Of course not, in fact I'd much rather get 2nd hand. If the Interior/Exterior colour is to your liking, full service history, mechanically sound, fit & finish is in good condition, then go for it! Massive savings over new and lower depreciation too!

I ever tot of getting a renewed coed boxster at 100k and a renewed 911 at 125k before....you think ok?

Nah. Boxster's interior is usually badly faded 'cos of the open top, and lacks grunt too, especially after all those years. The 911 though, depends which model eh? 993 or 996?

If it's the former, please get for it's drop-dead gorgoues looks (think it's the best looking 911 ever, as far as 'looks' go for Porsches!) and almost certain classic status.

If it's the latter, I wouldn't 'cos it was kinda the least-loved 911s.

Think they are well-built enough to last for a long time to come, if well maintained of course. At the time of release, it was hailed as the ultimate roadster, and still is considered by many to be the best open-top driving experience the industry has to offer.

So it can last and provide you with many more years of motoring pleasure. But will it become a classic in time to come? Perhaps, it has a good chance because of it's reputation actually. But perhaps not, because of the sheer numbers that were built. I just dunno...

But if it's condition is satisfactory, interior/exterior colour to your liking, and it speaks to your heart...Hey, ya only live once eh?!? [drivingcar]

ok, just make sure condition is ok too.

but if you think it's going to be cheap to own one (just becos of purchase price), you're very wrong.

Right. Happy shopping! Will try asking a friend of mine what's maintenance is like in the real world. He drives one you see, also bought 2nd hand, also COE car...

But at the outset, I can imagine things like normal servicing and minor stuff will be no more expensive than a BMWs. But I suspect replacing wear & tear parts (suspension/chassis components, body parts, wiring etc...) may be quite [knife]
