need expert advice .. will there be any diff in the image and sound quality if i to choose cheaper HDMI cable (DVD player (can play full HD but not blue ray) to Full HD LED TV)?

notice the price for HDMI cable can be from $10+ to $5XX .. [knife][knife]

what to look out when getting HDMI cable and what brand and where should i buy from?

Or just get the cheapest will do?

got 15 or 18+1aka 19..some TV can use 15p,best is 19p,not much difference

u wont see difference until u use tester to test..only project people do it base on very big tvs etc

other than that, still can use cheapo hdmi to support full specs, 15metre onwards use 26AWG will do, no need 24 or lower AWG,AWG thickness of cable

difference in price is big..normally 32 or 30 AWG can liaoz

just like UTP and FTP network cables..end of day, how much differences u feel is specs requirement..for me,no differences

cheap one can liao. this cnet review sums it up nicely: http://reviews.cnet.com/2719-11276_7-226-3...l?tag=page;page

but maybe to futureproof it abit, go for version 1.4.

In the digital world, it's 1 or 0 only, meaning, it either work or don't work. cheapest cable and monster cable will have same quality.

if the lap top comes with HDMI outlet, can we use this to connect to TV for viewing??

Yes you can but most likely no audio. Video only....

If it's HDMI then got video got audio. If it's DVI and you got DVI-to-HDMI cable, then no audio unless the TV supports DVI + audio cable.

if ur cabling is concealed..ensure u got double pair of cable for redundancy..just in case 1st pair kaput

You're right. I added another 1 more spare cable, but if i were to change tv next time, i would have run out of redundancy. New TVs now comes wif 3 hdmi ports. Good to have extras.
