Ailenware laptop is on normal Air-cooled. liquid-cooled think its their higher end desk top.

anyway, what is the main objective for the laptop? if its to play game, highly suggest that you go for desktop instead. unless of course your motive is to bring it around and play games where ever you go.

Also what is your screen size requirement.

Ya, i don't think laptops are liquid cooled. It's gonna make it dangerous and probably very big. ^_^

I have a friend using M17X now. No horror stories from him yet. I don't own one and only touch my friend's one for 30mins so can't comment more. But the inital impression is quite amazing. Graphics is beautiful and it's very very fast. If I'm still into gaming i would probably get one too. Downside i can think of is weight. It's super heavy! But if you have a car, it should minimize the inconvenience of bringing it around. And of course, after sales service might pose a problem if your dell laptop is acting werid. But Dell is very underated. I feel it's actually better than alot of laptop out there. I'm using a dell now (not alienware) for over 2 years and it hasn't failed me once. I'm thinking of getting a second laptop now and probably will buy from Dell again.

If you want a Macbook pro, go with 15" and upwards for gaming.

The 13" is useless at gaming due to the underclocked Intel IGP. In fact its been proven by some websites that even a MacBook Air with a 2.13ghz C2D and 320m more than doubled the score and fps compared to the Samsung Series 9 with Intel IGP

try the new M14x?

if his mind set on MX17 R3 mean he is looking at Cross-Fire or SLi so MX14 wont do for him.

To TS. its better to get an I5 but get a SSD instead. its faster than I7 with normal hard disk. but if can afford, go for I7 with SSD.
