S Curve....

My Boleh Land colleague once commented...

Most Sinkies are only good on straight rds...

Only know how to step on gas pedal to be 1st on the next traffic light...

When it comes to bend and curves and avoiding potholes..... Its ur guess....

sounded like singapore a very american-like state to me...... every country have their fair share of straighline warrior as well as good driver, just that good driver skill do not show up in normal days....

few days ago i saw a white audi overtake like mad.. wonder if they are the same car.

btw, noticed that nowadays BMW drivers very beng and obnoxious. heard about bullyings. just this morning one idiot BMW driver suddenly almost slowed to a halt at nicoll highway in 1st lane.. brought all 1st laners to a screening E brake. then slowly cut across all 3 lanes almost in perpendicular, causing ALL laners to E brake as well.. bloody prick! [shakehead]

Can u call up LTA or TP and volunteer to be a witness? We need to curb dangerous driving in Singapore. Yes I agree we can sometimes have fun and drive like Jeremy Clarkson for a while but we must remember there are innocent lives and property around us. We have to think clearly and act safely no matter what. I always count like this to remind myself. I live in Jurong and sometimes I go to the airport. My odo says its 40km from jurong to arport. if I drive at 100km/h It would take me 24 min. I did out a chart like this:

100km/h 24min

110km/h 22min*

120km/h 20min

130km/h 18min

140km/h 17min*

Lets say we speed a little from jurong to airport and maintain just below 110km/h, TP usually close one eye and compare to speeding at 140km/h, we only save 5min!

Why do we need to save 5 min and put ourselves and many others at risk? Its not that we cannot drive fast and be safe. Its because at those bends, sometimes we cannot predict what is in front and people in the second lane may eat into our lane causing us to jam brake or rub the cars body. Once rubbed, sure flip cause speed too high.

I saw one lady on ECP stopped her car on lane 1, and waited for lane 2 to clear, so she could change lane!!!

Cars behind her were closing in at 70km (after speed cam), and all had to jam braked!

What followed was probably the longest orchestra of horns I have heard!

actually, in terms of speeding, our TPs already give many chances.

which country gives u a 10km/h allowance over the speed limit.

speeding may be ok if u dont get others involved.

and those who want to know the audi's number, its

7413

bro..may i suggest u do a real-time trip recording as to the exact time taken for every journey..see if the timing is close regardless of the speed u're travelling..imo most of the time real-time traffic situations do not allow for linear speed

Most countries give you a plus minus of 10km - some a little more.

Last time, our speed cameras only ticket the top 20th percentile speeders.

FYI, in usa, many cities will give u some allowance in the speed limit....allowance of abt 5-10 miles per hr

Gosh! It's the bend towards Changi! I thought it was the bend towards city!

I saw it on ECP this evening. Bits of the car were still at the divider.
