If you can control the temperature, then you can get the watch master to adjust the beats to match accurately.

But then hor, the air con tunning center will register a different temp, as compared to you wrist temp, or your temp at home where you leave the watch.

The spring inside mechanical watch is sensitive to temp.

But if you watch is consistently fast or always slow, then you can advice the watchmaster to purposely tune it the other way, so that it suit your wearing environment, not the cold tuning room the watch was tested in.

by right i heard seiko watches although cheap but are the most accurate ones around...they are like super engineered by japanese for perfection, you pay for technology only and not the brand.

my tag carrera worn daily so far definitely less than a min a month.

Sorry, my bad. It should be +/- 10mins a month.

Not so bad lah, considering I do not wear it on weekends.

Seiko is good and reliable.

Good old lau pok watch of mine. I Love You!

bmw is expensive but their reliability record is not as good as the japs. same for watches, the +- secs is not the be all end all as long as it's within limits. if u consider watches as works of art, then +- secs is not the first priority.

(edited)

I've seen automatic watches in the U.S. that will self-tune itself from a RF based service. This is probably the reason why they need it. In the future we will have global Internet Time for watches, like always-connected Global 3G Kindle eBooks.

Where to buy Seagull watches in Singapore? Any authorised agent?

Despite a lot of negative bashing China made goods, some of their traditional brand goods are quite good.

I'm not sure if it's an authorized agent but there is a shop at People"s

Park Centre selling only Seagull watches. The shop is near the entrance

at the taxi stand.
