Galileo2008 Neutral Newbie April 21, 2012 Share April 21, 2012 I will redefine that deface mark as uneven wear and tear mark. As the front left wheel took all the weight of the car when I made the right turn dash into SLE at Thomson fly over (chiong at 70km/h as the turn green arrow started to blink at the big Thomson flyer junction). This rubbed off mark is at the furthest of the wheel threads leading to the side wall. It is a full circumference around the wheel. Not a big deal . Just need to made similar left turn at high speed so to create another scratch/rub for the front right wheel so both of them looks the same. Hachi28 1st Gear April 21, 2012 Share April 21, 2012 That is normal, I have that wear line on all 4 of my XM2 which I had driven for less than 1000km. It is just a dark line on the outer ring of the tyre.

The thinnest part of a tyre is "the tyre wall", it flex and stretches in pressures, if your new tyre had obvious in uneven wearing due to some reasons, I would advise you to let the tyre shop to inspect how serious it is. Making a smilar hard left turn at high speed to creat wearing another scratch/rubbing for the front right tyre inorder to balance the wear is seem too dangerous, my take to "uneven wearing of tyres" is to rotate the badly wore tyre into my rear wheel position. Deckbuild 6th Gear July 20, 2012 Share July 20, 2012 Would like to check with bros out here, I'm going to change my new car tyre to XM2 upon collection, would like to find out is it better to trade in in Singapore or JB? I personally find that not alot of shop are willing to take in 2nd hand tyres or give very low price for them even though its almost new in Singapore but I might be wrong. Price is 30% cheaper than Michelin n tyre is better too in term of quiet, dry n wet grip.. Where u change? How old your tyres? I changed at Soh bro 2 mths ago, the date wasn't very new - 1 year from manufacture. Boss say is like that cos not very popular tyre compare to Xm2 etc

Good and long life tyre. Don't worry. But a little exp for its size. I was quoted 148 for 195/65/15 where other reputable brand only 110.

Tireburner 3rd Gear January 26, 2013 Share January 26, 2013 Anyone knows current XM2 price for size 215/60/16, and Bridgestone Turanza GR90? Which is the better one between these 2?
Givechance 1st Gear January 26, 2013 Share January 26, 2013 Had changed it on my two front tyres few months ago. Very good grip in the wet. Gives me total confidence to cut thru deep water ponding without any aquaplane. No regrets to get this tyre. Mine is 185/65R15. With just two deep channels to drain away the water. The outer and inner thread is thus 'wider' and gives very very good grip during conering, as more rubber is in contact with the road at the edges! ↡ Advertisement
