Using GR90 195/65/15 now. Want to change new tyres. Shortlisted a few tyres:

- GY Efficientgrip

- XM2

- CPC5

 

GR90 wear out fast on the outer edge of the front left tyre. 4 wheel alignment done. There is a rough portion at the MSCP slope at each level. Chiong up MSCP to level 4 everyday might have caused it.

 

Look for tyre that do not wear out fast and have good grip on wet road condition.

 

Go for which tyre?

 

Sama sama, mine also front left as always up/down MSCPs with right turnings. So, the weight is thrown to the front left. Can't be helped regardless of brands. Regular rotation may help.

 

You may want to consider Bridgestone MY-02. They have a promotion till June. You get $40 petrol vouchers when registering warranty online.

Just want to check with you guys out there with XM2, I'm on 185/65/R15, when travelling at around 80 kph during rainy days, at bends on bridges at connecting area which is metal I guess, it always slip, anyone encounter the same?

sounds like Y Aspec tyres. Guess it's the low resistance characteristics of the tyres.

Could be, this tyre squeal bad on some surface compare to my previous Asymetric1, Not a direct comparison as the size is very very different.

I have the same tyres but haven't noticed any slippage. Then again, I don't go over metal much except for manholes in the roads. Squeals a little on treated carpark surfaces but hold is no different. Helps alert other drivers to your presence

Mine squeals like a pig in heat who ingested Viagra whenever I negotiate the car park in imm. Raining makes it worse lol

When I drove to IMM before CNY 2013, I think there is a new layer of coating on the carpark. Tires squeals like angry pig, even when reversing into parking lot. I thought my tires were flat. Very terrible driving experience.

After CNY, I noticed that the tires don't squeal that much as previously. Likely, the coating was sanded down.

I think u didnt experience it, there are lots of metal connection btw bridges, bke towards kpe, pie near chantek flyover that bend.

Second that for the IMM part when carpark floor wet and I am on xm2 205/55/r16. have to endure the squealing from lvl2 to lvl4 because most of the time lvl1-lvl3 sure full. can't complain much because it is free parking lol

Guys,

 

I will need to change tyre soon so deciding of few of the choice below :

 

1) Michelin Energy Saver XM2

2) Michelin Energy Saver (Germany)

3) Bridgestone GR90

4) Bridgestone T001

 

Which tyre provides average grip on both dry and wet roads and offer the comfort and quietness for my car? I cannot stand noisy tyres like the Michelin PS2 last time but not sure on PS3 now.
