Where got ok, if during peak hours you need to wait 5 mins or more, this is consider not ok. At least every 2 mins.

Bro not ok leh.. its Evening time.. peak period.. rather than waiting for 3 full load of trains to come first, why cant they wait for 1 o 2 full load train then move off...

 

the way u say 6 mis still ok... next time they tell u 10 mins ok ..wait for4 or 5 full load train, squeeze all of u like sardines first before moving off... stiill ok?

 

ok. i misjudged on the crowd. if just looking at timing i think quite ok. but as u say must squeeze like sardine than sbs should get bigger buses. or offer more alternative route.

I'm ok with bus timing abit off, due to the unforseen nature of traffic, especially during peak hours..

 

But trains, there's no need to worry about train-jams, or other train 'cutting' onto your tracks.. Why is train frequency still so bad?

end of the day, SBS, MRT, etc need to answer to their shareholders about the profit. their aim is to make $ not serve the public.

 

and guess who got the biggest share.... Temasak Holdings!

 

The government actually planned everything, get it "privatized" so they can use it is a private entity as excuse to milk us....privatize my foot!

Mr Lim, who left the Cabinet after the May General Election, said that in the absence of productivity improvements, a 3 per cent wage increase for workers meant that fares had to go up by 1.5 per cent because labour costs make up half the total operating costs for buses.

 

Does this mean that if fares goes up by (only) 1.5%, public cannot expect any productivity improvements?

 

Does it mean only any increase above 1.5% may (possibly) go towards improvement in public transport?

F his mother cb.. if the fare hikes in the past were used to increase the salary of bus drivers and workers on the ground, then we wouldn't have so many farking foreign thrash driving the buses today.

frankly if everyone bite the bullet and tell these suckers they can raise 3% but must see improvement within 1/2yr if cant do it, lower by 5%!

please lah.....this type of essential services won't anyhow let people take leaves one, you think can suka suka many go off at the same period one meh??? furthermore those prc contract workers where got yearly balik kampung one....

They will raise 1.5% twice, thus avoiding triggering the condition in exchange to show improvement. This is like cooking the frog. Raise the temperature minimally, but raise it often. Only time must stop is when GE is near.

Bascially increase is not to improve service but to cover operating cost etc (keep same level of standard). So if current standard f--k up, fare increase is to maintain same f--k up standard & avoid more f--k up service

 

If want better standard, fare increase would have to be even more, maybe 4-5%.
