Jamstart 1st Gear January 3, 2012 Author Share January 3, 2012 Depends on the wording. If it says children with height above 1.4M, then only children below 1.4M are entitled to children's price. If it just says customer with height above 1.4M, then regardless children or adult...................... No, they said they go by height. ↡ Advertisement
Jamstart 1st Gear January 3, 2012 Author Share January 3, 2012 If they use age some ppl might see it as an age discrimination. I did post my comments in the 1st page. I dont understand the "age discrimination" you are referring, can explain?

Mllcg 3rd Gear January 3, 2012 Share January 3, 2012 this height thing is blindly following themeparks. at theme parks height is a must because of the seatbelts and harnesses. however, in singapore, we are blindly following height too much for the rest of the things. The_Bear Turbocharged January 3, 2012 Share January 3, 2012 No, they said they go by height. I think height is a fairer and easier way to classify from the restaurant's point of view. A 1.4 meter 6 year old will most likey eat more than a 1.2 meter 7 year old. Also it is easier to verify height and most parents don't bring along identification papers for their kids to verify the age. Do you?

Yes and No. And you are blindly saying blindly becoz everyone says it is so.

Why is age a fairer way for classification in regards to buffet? The reason for charging more is due to the child having a bigger appetite.

I could finish off two packs of standard char siew rice + half pack of fried rice in one meal. My mum had to buy four packs of char siew rice and one pack of fried rice for both my brother and I just for one meal. During my teenage years, pizza hut buffet was my favourite place to eat. Could finish off eight slices of pizza in one meal. After all the eating, I am still under weight!!! I was definately taller than my frens of the same age then. Sosaria Twincharged January 3, 2012 Share January 3, 2012 You are right to say that the restaurant will have to let midgets less than 1m height to eat for free. But then again, how many such midgets are there that can take advantage of this rule?? The restaurant will just tell you okay, if they want to be sarcastic. Both will eat about the same amount. Then don't bring kids to buffet or if possible, order an ala-carte item for them. By your reasoning, teens and young adults should pay the most, no?
