Tayyw76 Neutral Newbie September 28, 2011 Share September 28, 2011 (edited) Sorry TS for 'using' ur thread to seek for advise on the following as I am new to this site and was not 'pemitted' to post any new thread yet, which I do not know why. Anyway, need your kind advise on this: Hi guys, as it time for me to change my set of rubbers so am consider either the 2 choice of tyres. Michelin Pilot sport 3 OR Bridgestone potenza s001 I had read a few review and find that Michelin pilot sport 3 seem to score better. (just my own opionion) Anyway care to comment on these 2 brands via model. Am too looking at tyre profile: 225/45/r17 Price found recently based on the tyre's profile indicated above: 225/45/r17 -Michelin pilot sport 3 at $220(est) per tyre -Bridgestone potenza s001 at 210(est) per tyre ps: plz do not 'mark' me on the tyre's price stated above as I asked my friend to help me to ask for any recomended tyres when he is at a workshop then. Bro, from the size of 225/45/R17 you can go for Hankook S1 Evo. Its the best tire that Hankook has and if you are a member you get 31% off the tire so after discount the price per tire is $186.30, if non member base on 20% off is $216 and no discount is $270 b4 1st October as they increasing the price from 1st oct..... Kirbykoh Neutral Newbie October 25, 2011 Share October 25, 2011 My ride is a XC90. Need to change at least my front 2 tyres desperately - they are as worn out as my slippers, the back 2 are still ok. - Front : Bridgestone ?? (235/60 R18) - Back : Yokohama Geolandar H/T-S G051 (235/60 R18) I'm not a gear head, nor do I go off-road at all. So, looking for durable, cheap, safe, quiet tyre deals - in that order of priority. Any good promotions around? Good recommendations from anyone? Should I change all 4 at one go, given that the back 2s are still in pretty good condition? Civic2000 Supercharged October 29, 2011 Share October 29, 2011 It seems that many tyre shops are having offer for CSC 5 of size 215/45/R17 @$230 per piece and $205 for CSC 3 (225/25/R17). I changed to CSC 5 yesterday at a tire shop around Lavender Street for the same price, and these tires are made in Romania, with date of manufacture as printed on the tires is 1911.
