seems like the new chev 1.4T engine is either same or similar to the new astra 1.4T as well, but tuned higher.

 

am hoping the orlando gets the new engine too with carplay enabled HU.

Its the same engine block bro. So its that 6AT

 

Go test drive the new Astra 1.4T to get a feel of its power if you can't wait for the new Cruze to arrive

 

The new Astra is running on the same chassis as the new Cruze also

im currently driving the new astra 1.4T and the power's really good. back then was really undecided between a hatchback or 7 seater MPV and could not find one that has decent power with durable gearbox , not that ex and easy on the road tax.

 

mazda 5, VW touran , toyota wish all too ex and personal fav was touran but DSG risky

 

seems like the orlando is cheaper compared to above so hoping that it will be renewed with the new ecotec and updated interior tech.

 

can feel the need for a family sized MPV is coming really soon....getting ready to cushion the impact...

Different. The 1.4L turbo in the Astra is  direct fuel injection. The one in the orlando is still MPI. The engine in the Astra is completely new with the engine block and engine head made of cast aluminium vs cast iron in the orlando. Only the engine head is cast aluminium.

The direct fuel injection gives the Astra slightly more hp and torque.

 

The 6sp gb in the astra is new too. It's lighter dan the one in the orlando. The lighter engine and gb gives the Astra a better power to weight performance. That's what I read online.

Bro, he was refering to the totally new Cruze that we will get in a few mths time.

Seems like with the news on the postponement of the coe tender, a lot of people are flocking the showrooms. If it was really bad news as what expected, those that got the coe last week when it dipped can count their lucky stars.

Hi Guys, This is the armrest I brought from Aliexpress. I did some modification and it can just fit into the hole without removing the driver armrest provided. I agree, better to test drive the Orlando, wish, cx5 etc at the same day so you can feel the difference.

If you have kids bring them with you.

I got mine from eBay but it cost over $130. Got 1 from AliExpress and the quality really cmi.

It covers the CENTRE console nicely and it will look better if u remove the current armrest.

Pm me if u are interested. It's from overseas eBay seller so I definitely not into this for commissions.

If your video is from YouTube, just use any online convertor to download in the 360p mp4 format and it will play. Tested it on my Cruze, which I believe uses the same infotainment system.
