1fast1 Supersonic November 2, 2011 Share November 2, 2011 (edited) My car no paddle shift. Have to use the clutch and my left hand to change gears. But tried car with paddle shift before and I think mine still more fun. Agreed. When I test drove the new BMW M3 (paddle shift) right after the Lotus Elise SC (the supercharged one with the manual shift), I was amazed at how much more engaging the real manual was. Of course, I was also double-clutching my downshifts and heel-toeing for the corners, and the Lotus is just a beautiful "raw" driver's car, but the fact remains this - if you know how to drive, and love driving, the true manual is the way to go. And my current 911 tiptronic button shifters on the steering wheel are also unsatisfying - they get the job done when I need to do some nifty overtaking, but I'd still much rather be driving a manual. (I didn't get a manual because I wanted my dad to enjoy the car too - and he has some orthopedic issues that preclude him driving a manual). NightWind 4th Gear November 2, 2011 Share November 2, 2011 when i use my paddleshift in fulll manual mode my FC worsens...the paddle shifts were very very usefull on the way down from Cameron and Genting. Only problem is u gotta be carefull coz i never used the brake sometimes and relied on the braking power of the engine on steep descent so my friend told me he almost ran into my rear as the braking light did not activate.... Is it more fun to drive with paddle shift? Anyone with paddle shift care to comment?

Cluboxed 1st Gear November 3, 2011 Share November 3, 2011 wa same old sch as me... gear stick is nicer but paddle shifters give you the advantage of having both hands on the steering wheel..
Vega Turbocharged November 3, 2011 Share November 3, 2011 That i got to agree. the stick is still for the purist. the paddle will lag like some mention before.
ER-3682 Supersonic November 3, 2011 Share November 3, 2011 That i got to agree. the stick is still for the purist. the paddle will lag like some mention before. Modern Auto no more lag & slip like the older days auto,my 370z auto shift gear in 0.5secs[using paddle shift],so 0-100km/h timing is actually better than the manual ones.
