Psychologically, the lift come faster if press several times. Proportional to the rate of repeatability.

Lift not pre-set to function like jackpot machine. Only breakdown faster if pressed more often

if you dont believe you go try.

 

press one time and start counting.

 

2nd time, you press 4 5 time.. then start counting after the last press.. the counting is shorter.

Ever seen a lone lady waiting for quite awhile. When I arrived I noticed that she did not pressed the button, so no motorist stopped for her to cross the road.
