My relative recently suffering from short term memory loss.

But not severe.

Eg.

Go for an event yesterday. Today if you ask him, will say that he never go.

But if you describe to him the event and ask him whether did he go, he will then remember that he went.

He is the one who realise that he has this problem. And wants to go see doctor voluntarily.

This kind of situation should see what doctor? Age is about 55.

GP will be able to recommend a doctor. Or go polyclinic. The doctor there will refer to hospital specialists.

See what type of doctor? Errrr, forgot already.

(Sorry, couldn't resist the jibe). Anyway, best to see GP first to determine if it's due to psychological or medical reasons.

Bro ... advice ...

Go and get a referral from Polyclinic. Depending on age, if <65 maybe a neurologist / memory clinic but if more than 65 recommend a Geriatrician.

Depends on where you live and which hospital.

Sorry ... just read that your relative is 55yo. Very young!

PM me and we can chat further.

Get gov polyclinic to refer.

Costs can be very high if many follow ups are required.

At least your relative can get some relief from gov on the bills.
