I'm currently PS3.... 225/40/R18........

I have to admit it's the first time that I'm using 18" rims and first time on such low profile...... previously I was switching between 215/45/R17 and 225/45/17 but never on 40 before.....

Noise level is significantly higher than the Bridgestones that I was using..... but I find the grip better than my old RE050 when in the wet......

As for dry grip, I somewhat felt that the RE050 is better in the dry...... however given the wet season right now, I'm very glad to be on the PS3....

It's an average performer (performance tyre) in dry and wet. Not the UHP AD08 nor RE11 of the world. Noise level is acceptable and generally softer. More conti feel overall.

Have been on AD07 and subsequently on AD08 previously. Decided to take it easy and opt for this because I tried the PS2 previously on my last ride. Found it acceptable although dry handling is nowhere near the both ADs.

I was using AD07 previously but I had issues with the wet grip...... however I must say it's probably the best dry grip of all the tyres I have tried......

How's the AD08? Have they improve in the wet?

AD08 wet is almost similar to AD07. Just a tad better if you dare. It is better not becos of its ability to disperse water but rather due to a much stiffer side wall.

However the dry grip is insane if you dare to breach your mental limit. Did many high speed cornering at 140 - 160kmh without the sudden thought that I am dying. However the tyres only lasted 13month before it became slicks. lol

The AD07 dry grip is insane..... so I would expect no less from the AD08........ noted about the wear rate too....... [laugh]

hahaha...very puzzle....how can a performance tyre be not noisy? It has to be noisy due to the design of the threads and the characteristics of a performance tyres

to a point but my reference is Pirelli P Zeros which were much quieter - also high performance

there are performance tyres that are not so noisy as in compare to other model of performance tyres.

like u take a goodyear aysm 2, u compare to say yokohama sdrive ?

the different is noise level is very big.

but if u compare it to a high end comfort tyres, like GR90 of course the gr90 gonna be even more quiet.

and pls dun assume all brand comfort tyres is quiet.

there are cheap brand comfort tyres, with those fine thread design which u assume it should be low noise.

but due to poor quality of rubber and design , will make the tyres have uneven wear after useage, which will produce VERY HIGH NOISE.

UHP tyres are tends to be very noisy but because the contact area of the tyre and the road surface is larger hence providing more grip resulting in better performance..

well be it comfort or performance tyre, there is bound to have some noise regardless of quality and design, is only at what mileage it will get very noisy otherwise new tyre also have some noise but it just not that obvious to passenger/driver

Might as well get the Pilot Cup tyres used by Carrera Cup cars.

So I can drive like they do in the Carrera Cup??? zzzzzzzzzzzzz that has to be THE most boring racing to watch ever

Lets go buy our GT3 Cup cars but then lets not drive them on the edge cause we cannot afford to crash them..zzzzzzzzzz

Same profile or smaller rolling radius?

Ive similar issue with lower than ideal profile affecting rolling radius - cant get the 40 profile here :(
