Maldini03 1st Gear March 2, 2012 Share March 2, 2012 Check yr drainage. If drainage block it will retain water just like what you say. The passenger seatis ok could probably subs cause the drainage is the driver side.
Trafficwatch Clutched March 4, 2012 Share March 4, 2012 (edited) Check floor board any missing round rubber caps ? (Both front right & rear right) Suspect the caps lost or not in-place ! Btw, was this 1st hand car ? If pre-owned ride, then suspect right hand under-carriage accident before quite seriously that caused by poor joint or corroded already that caused water seepage thru into cabin. Geboz Clutched March 4, 2012 Share March 4, 2012 Had the same problem too but was at the passenger side. The floor carpet felt like a water bed ! It was due to a chokage in the aircon piping, and the water dripped and trapped under the carpet.
Good-Carbuyer 1st Gear March 4, 2012 Share March 4, 2012 Hi all, I always thought I smell something whenever I get into my car. It was a damp smell. Moist smell. Suspecting that perhaps the floor mats may not have been dried properly after a car wash, I bend down to touch it. To my disbelief, the whole mat was soaking wet. And when I flipped up the mat, I found my floor carpet soaking wet too. I thought to myself, there is no way that a not properly dried floor mat would cause such a mayhem. I then checked the passenger's side. It was totally dry. So what could have contributed to this? A leaky under carriage? Water from wet roads sipping up? Funnily, only the driver's side were affected (both front and rear). Yet, I do not remember spilling any water. Neither do I have kids who may have caused it. Anyone with similar problem? Now I wonder where should I go to get this sorted. Appreciate any advice that can help me on this. Thanks. This one can call ponding, but need to solve the issue. Do not try absconding. Check if the windows were closed properly. Door seals in order. floor board any water ingress access. Dry out the car and moniotr.
Kenopt2 1st Gear March 11, 2013 Share March 11, 2013 Also on Car floor mat problem. Passenger side car floor mat broke. Has been taping it up with duct tape. And recommendation where can repair and whether will they remove the whole car mat and replace with new. Afraid it will cost a bomb. Duct tape seems to be cheaper.... Leepee 1st Gear March 11, 2013 Share March 11, 2013 If duct tape works for you....then carry on. About $15 to get a 3m rectangular carpet, and then cut out the shape yourself. Cheapest!
