  8. Anyone knows where to get carpet custom cut for the back of a van? Looking for those wool type of carpet like offices and hotels. Not 3M plastic type. I know audio have carpeting material for sub woofers etc. but those are too thin. Looking for those with a thicker pile. Thanks.
  9. Hi all, I always thought I smell something whenever I get into my car. It was a damp smell. Moist smell. Suspecting that perhaps the floor mats may not have been dried properly after a car wash, I bend down to touch it. To my disbelief, the whole mat was soaking wet. And when I flipped up the mat, I found my floor carpet soaking wet too. I thought to myself, there is no way that a not properly dried floor mat would cause such a mayhem. I then checked the passenger's side. It was totally dry. So what could have contributed to this? A leaky under carriage? Water from wet roads sipping up? Funnily, only the driver's side were affected (both front and rear). Yet, I do not remember spilling any water. Neither do I have kids who may have caused it. Anyone with similar problem? Now I wonder where should I go to get this sorted. Appreciate any advice that can help me on this. Thanks.

Ok, i know you can use Duragloss Fabric & Carpet Cleaner #451 for the job but i also read that u can use #461 to : Dilute Duragloss Ultimate Orange with water to use on more sensitive materials, like carpet and upholstery. So presume that i get #461, i just pour bit into a spray bottle, dilute and spray on carpet, scrub and blot dry and let it air dry further and thats it? The reason i wanna get #461 is that can use for other surfaces What other ways do u use your #461?

  16. The less frills the better....less court case. No wonder the cars in Singapore are so basic and bare......less complaints from the owners. http://www.businesstimes.com.sg/sub/news/s...,353882,00.html? Toyota advises removal of driver-side floor mats Pedals may get stuck on them, causing accidents (TOKYO) Two years before the fatal accident that prompted Toyota to warn 3.8 million American car owners to take out floor mats, Troy Johnson died in a crash also suspected of being caused by a floor mat jamming an accelerator. Melodie Bohuchot, the widow, pleaded with Toyota Motor Corp yesterday to act quickly to prevent any more accidents. Earlier this week, Toyota informed the US government that it will be sending letters by first-class mail to owners of the best-selling Camry, the Prius hybrid and other models to remove floor mats on the driver's side and not replace them. It was the second time in a little over two years that Toyota has acknowledged problems with floor mats in the US. Toyota said that the gas pedal may get stuck when the floor mat is unsecured or incompatible, making it difficult to stop and potentially causing a crash that could result in serious injury or death. Toyota has also distributed a statement of warning through the media and on its website. It expects to begin sending the letters late this month and complete the effort in December. But Ms Bohuchot was worried that people may find out too late, and urged Toyota to get the word out immediately. Toyota spokesman Paul Nolasco said that it takes time to reach every customer. The latest recall - Toyota's biggest in the US - followed a a high-speed crash in August involving a 2009 Lexus ES350, that killed California Highway Patrol officer Mark Saylor, 45, his wife, 13-year-old daughter and brother-in-law. Mr Johnson, 39, was killed on July 26, 2007 - the same day he got a job as a dispatcher for a taxi company, and appeared on track to turning his life around after years of drug problems and being in and out of jail on assault charges. Mr Johnson's Honda Accord was hit from behind on a highway near San Jose, California, by a 2007 Toyota Camry, whose accelerator had gotten jammed by a Toyota-supplied floor mat, according to court documents. The Camry was speeding out-of-control at up to 190 kmh, and slammed into Mr Johnson's vehicle, killing him instantly. The car burst into flames, burning his body beyond recognition, court records say. Toyota recalled the floor mats at that time. Charges against the driver of the Camry were dropped. Ms Bohuchot said that she bore no ill feelings towards him. Ms Bohuchot sued Toyota in the Santa Clara County Superior Court in California, and reached a settlement with the world's biggest car maker last year. Ms Bohuchot and her lawyers declined to disclose the amount. Last week, Toyota president Akio Toyoda apologised for the worries that the floor mat problems were causing for those who had bought Toyota vehicles believing in their safety. Toyota says that floor mats on the driver's side must be removed from the 2007-2010 model year Toyota Camry, 2005-2010 Toyota Avalon, 2004-2009 Toyota Prius, 2005-2010 Tacoma, 2007-2010 Toyota Tundra, 2007-2010 Lexus ES350 and 2006-2010 Lexus IS250/IS350. -- AP
