Hi,

 

I'm interested. Would there be a bulk purchase from TB? There 15% shipping discount from ezbuy for this 2 days.

 

I'd love to do a bulk purchase / mass order - as long as someone else is organising it since I don't have time to. FWIW, I found a cheaper seller than the link I last posted - 350 yuan instead of 400 yuan, which works out to about S$71.50 before shipping: world.taobao.com/item/522205312499.htm?spm=a312a.7700825.1997196601.4.7AqapU

 

You wanna organise the mass order? If so, please count me in. Sounds like this mirror extension works with pretty much every Subaru model so we should be able to get at least a few people on board.

I'm pretty sure I could DIY it (on my Legacy), but I'm going to pay MI to do it for me instead, partly so they can't give me grief about body mods.

Getting direct from TB i think more worth it. share shipments of 5 unit cost around $372(INCL shipment). cannot more, afraid kenna GST.

Well, MI installs third-party traffic cams (for $150).

 

The various TB vendors selling this part claim it's an original Subaru part from Japan, but the part number isn't legible in the product photos so we can't check. I suggest that whomever is coordinating the group buy message the TB seller to get part number, then we can verify if it's actually a Subaru part.

 

If it's a Subaru part, I'll refuse to let MI refuse to install it for me. They'll make it expensive, you can count on that. But I'll pay to ensure they have no reason to invalidate any warranty claims because of this part.

 

Worse comes to the worst, can DIY, doesn't look like rocket science, but I'd like to avoid that if I can help it, primarily because of MI warranty issues.

Let's get Subaru part number from TB seller first, then confirm against official Subaru parts catalogue, then we can ask MI about installation and warranty. Step by step, by the book. Otherwise it's all speculation.
