New Subaru XV

Anyone interested in this side mirror extension? These are standard on Toyota Harriers and I think they are useful in parallel parking or u-turns. Seller claims this is an original subaru part and can fit XV, Foresters and Imprezas.

Considering getting one but need to find out how to DIY. Looks simple enough - remove the clips holding the mirror casing and screwing it on.

Saw this on Taobao also but costs S$70+ before shipping. Claims to be genuine Subaru Part from Japan as well but still too pricey imo. Very good for reverse parking though

Not sure what does it do?

Is it to see the parking lot boundary line by the side of the car?

One mirror to see the distance from left side of car to the kerb/line for parking. The other to point at the front left wheel to judge distance for u-turn.

Yup, there are 2 mirrors one for the passenger side also front-left bumper. Convenient when need to manoeuvre those tight spaces

Can I also check, is it worthwhile to go back for servicing just for the warranty? Read a lot of MCFer complaining MI over charging. Will they change parts without informing us and get a bill shock when collecting car?

For me I have the free 5 yrs servicing so I will go back. However, I find that MI (also the same for other ADs I used for previous cars) tries to up-sell some services which are not needed. The other day I went for 30k servicing, the guy tried to ask me to do aircon coil servicing and fuel system cleaning for $500+. He claims it is part of the recommended services (but somehow not part of the regular package) that needed to be done but I don't see this in the manual or service schedule.

When I rejected, he tried to ask me to do engine flush. These things in my experience should be done at much higher mileage and not at 30k (if even needed at all).

Although they try to up-sell, I don't think they will change anything without the customer permission so don't worry. All prices are stated upfront and signed before work proceed. Actually I find that their package (for 2 yrs?) is rather competitively priced considering they're AD.

And here's the TB link, which not only shows pictures of the original Subaru packaging, but claims it's compatible with XV, Forester, Outback and Legacy: world.taobao.com/item/522925258353.htm?spm=a312a.7700714.0.0.0RAyPh#detail

I want. Because I'm lousy at agar-ing distances and don't want kerb rash, even though my OEM Dunlop Sport Maxx 050 tyres protrude with rim protection.

Hi,

I'm interested. Would there be a bulk purchase from TB? There 15% shipping discount from ezbuy for this 2 days.
