Kiadaw 6th Gear January 24, 2012 Share January 24, 2012 hey kiadaw, hope you're doing fine in germany. actually the reason i put up the sss as comparison is, why i-vtec could not come up with more bhp since the sss could do it The SSS use higher compression engine, which give more power, but require 98 grad petrol to run, otherwise knocking at high RPM. The civic is a normal sedan, & runs on normal 95 petrol. If the B&B Civic requires 98 grad petrol to run, the sale will take a big hit.

Friendstar Supercharged January 25, 2012 Share January 25, 2012 I personally feel that paddle shift is useless for Singapore roads and 1.6 litre engine. But on a VTec 2.0 is another story.
Eyke Supercharged January 25, 2012 Share January 25, 2012 Paddle Shift important or necessary feature? only for spork car lah. paddle shift for "normal cars" are usually too slow, more irritating than useful...

Desmondtwb Clutched January 30, 2012 Share January 30, 2012 So i guess the paddle shift is not an useful feature. But seems like many 1.6L car now comes with this feature?! I use my Paddle Shifts quite often, usually down gear for engine brake and quick exit from corner. Small thrills I guess. At least for my car single shift up and down is fast enough.
