Hi All

Went to take a look at it in showroom.

PROS:

nice design both in and out

1.6L turbo engine

lots of features included (gps, electronic handbrake, massage function for driver's seat, bluetooth, paddle shift, xenon headlights, DRL, etc)

CONS:

back space quite cramped

rear window cannot wind down

no push button start, only turn key

no LED taillights

no moon/panaromic roof

Priced @ $136k (as of yesterday). Slightly more expensive than Pug 3008 although 3008 is actually bigger in size.

Ds4 is nice, but DS5 even nicer. Saw one parking outside my Sport complex carpark. Very nice.

Really? But DS5 not available yet.

Its available, but maybe not in Sunny Singapore yet. But it looks really good, like from some sci-fi movies. Unfornately, its very dark when I left the gym, so can't see much of the interior.

Its a 5 door coupe. Hence its cramp behind.

They could have made it just 5 to 10cm longer and it would have been perfect. Now it is actually shorter than my Koup (which is a 2 door coupe)! This type of sports crossovers need not be that short.

Chio lah but can be in good driving condition 3 years later?

compare the number of citroen/peugeot commercial vehicles to renault/fiat , that is a very strong indication for u

the former, most survive 10yrs and beyond, the latter, most are not economical to repair past 4 years

The thought of the rear passenger windows cannot be wind down is weird. And it's obvious, the windows bigger dan the doors. I think design wise is ugly coupled with the pointy door frame. The rear passenger door opening is so narrow, they should have make it a 3door hatch like the DS3 and do away with the pointless rear passenger doors. For those who wants 4door can always get the regular C4.

Look like quite a nice car with a lot of features but at 136K not sure if worth it, if priced at 115K like the Jetta Comfort would be a good buy....at 135K which is close to the Jetta Sports, I may choose a Jetta sports instead.

Agreed. My old Alfa 147 was practical as well as good looking. The DS4 has a nice design but ultimately not worth it for the price. Besides, as someone said, its French so buy used after 6 months if you fancy it.

As always... a good review from Mat Watson.

Other than that the jetta is a "german" car (but not made in germany), the jetta can't really compete at all. As VW showroom is just next door to C&C, i went over and you just look at the jetta interior quality compared to DS4 is totally no fight at all. And of course VW's infamous long service queue and problematic DSG gearbox, nothing to consider. I will admit i was considering Jetta too until the DS4 came out.

It is fairer to compare DS4 with Jetta Sport, not Comfort cos Comfort is only 122hp/200Nm.
