I don't regularly cycle, but on behalf of my fellow drivers I'll say:

THANK YOU!!!

for using the PCN for the purpose intended, and NOT the road. :D

I regular commute on my road bike from Bedok to Shenton Way. 20km each way and only a few kms are on busy roads as use combination of PCN, east coast service road, plus can ride across Marina Barrage. Not a bad trip actually and quicker than bus/train.

PCN got the footpath n bicycle path hor.

I learn it the hard way.

One month ago my family walk on the asphalt bicycle path, instead of the cement footpath.

One yaya cyclist was very angry with me, n shouted at my family to walk properly.

Somehow I feel the pedestrians may be given the benefit of the doubt as they are slower and likely to suffer more injuries than the cyclists in an accident. The cyclists can always ring the bell from far and only use shouting as the last resort. Of course this doesn't mean the pedestrians have the right to obstruct the cyclists on the cycling track.

LOL, how many times you stop in the 1.5 hrs? I can slow down to 10km per hour including stops in between. Where is your favorite route? I am still trying out a few routes:- ECP, Punggol Waterway, Pasir Ris / Tempines, Bedok Reservoir. [:)]

Started with folding bike on PCN many years back, like the option of folding up the bike and take taxi home when leg cramp or too tire.

Now leg power more solid liao, switch to a more expensive hard tail bike.

Find hard tail bike more productive for long ride

I got no balls cycle on road..too many crazy drivers out there. if short stretch of road ok, coz sometimes PCN still have to cut across roads.

Usually cycle on PCN, parks, tamp bike parks, bukit timah reserve etc.

I used to cycle to my army camp everyday during my NS days many years ago. Tampines to Depot road.

I remember the first time vividly. Halfway through the journey, I puked, haha. But I persisted and by the end of the 2nd week, I was much faster than taking the MRT.

These days, I ride to the gym, and once in a blue moon when the family feels like it, we take out bikes out to ECP for leisurely rides.

Great fun.

Is it Racing bike?

If yes, it is equivalent to Aventador on Sg Road.

I cycle PCN almost everyday... to pasir ris or bedok and east coast. Pasir Ris is nice [:)]

Never tried Punggol Waterway though. How to go from Tampines?
