Im thinking of getting a folding bike & narrowed down to brompton & dahon. anyone with experience with either & care to share?
  2. Chingay! How come gov allow noisy and helmet less Harley davidson bikers on public road? Doe it mean Loud exhaust and helmet less in public carpark also ok?
  3. Saw a cool bike the other day Any nice bikes around, pls post too
  4. I read from the websites that parking offences seem to be under the purview of HDB and URA. So how does the traffic police fit into the picture? Apologies if this question is too stupid...
  5. Met an irresponsible Lady Lexus driver this morning while ferrying my baby to my Mother place at the cross junction of Mandai Road and Sembawang Road. The light already turned red for a good 3 to 5sec and she still rush OUT!!!! These are the scums that cause major accident on the road! Very similar to the Ferrari case! Luckily i saw the bikes stop and I stop immediately, my view was blocked by the bikes and din't know some idiot would rush out. Next time better wait for a while before moving off from traffic light! Carplate: SGW228G Driver: Lady
  6. Anyone has any idea where can I get this?
  7. Seriously the TP should interview this GT7774R driver. https://www.facebook.com/JBTALKS.CC?ref=stream&hc_location=stream#!/photo.php?v=10152532676330166&set=vb.204917265165&type=2&theater Sorry repost https://fbexternal-a.akamaihd.net/safe_image.php?d=AQDYFExhR588qXDH&url=https%3A%2F%
  8. Just curious, do our TP stop Malaysian bikes and cars who have committed traffic offences such as speeding or beating red light offences at our immigration? Or do they just waive off any fines against foreign vehicles?
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efw5UiKumQISanta Claus might have his eight reindeer – or nine, when it's foggy – to help him deliver presents in all parts of the world, but in southern California, it looks like he's traded up from Dasher, Dancer, Prancer and company to BMW, Yamaha and Ducati. RNickeyMouse is usually the place to check out spectacular motorcycle crashes on video along LA's Mulholland Drive, but a recent video caught a trio of Santas carving up the iconic, twisty road. The three Santas are together, riding what appears to be a BMW S1000RR, Yamaha R1 and a hard-to-tell custom bike that could be a Ducati 1098. The video also catches a bonus Santa riding solo on another S1000RR. Happy Christmas to all, and to all cool bikes!
  10. Video: http://www.razor.tv/video/535694 You have heard of dashboard cameras in cars. Now, it is the turn of the bicycle-cam. Bikes fitted with video-recording devices are becoming an increasingly common sight on Singapore's roads. Riders use them to gather evidence if they get into an accident
  11. http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/S...ory_825964.html The National Parks Board's controversial purchase of 26 foldable Brompton bikes had been brought to the attention of graft investigators, the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau. In response to queries, the Ministry of National Development told The Straits Times on Wednesday afternoon: 'MND confirms that it has reported the matter to the CPIB.' Earlier, on Tuesday night, the ministry said it had suspended its assistant director of the Park Connector Network, Mr Bernard Lim, from duty. It also said that its minister, Mr Khaw Boon Wan, had told a ministry internal audit team to work with NParks to review the purchase of the bicycles last month.

    JB BIKES

Do anyone of you think we should urge LTA to ban these bikes on Singapore roadsif not at least on the expressways? They are a nuisance and reckless. I think we should have speed bumps on lane dividers too
  18. Saw this car moving and stopping, moving and stopping at my car park checking cars which park at red lots yesterday. Saw two guys inside and I was wondering what they were doing. To my surprise, they were carpark wardens, checking on car which park on red lots. Nowaday, no need walk liao, all sit inside the car. These people must be earning big bucks, can drive car issueing parking fines. So guy, if you do not live at the block, do not park at red lot.
  19. I have a friend who work in the hospital who told me this incidient of a 21 year old who is paralyzed due to major injury to the spine. He is relaying on a machine to stay alive. He cant talk, he cant move ...poor parents only can stare as he look back, being the only son they are very unwilling to unplung him from the machine , still hoping for a glimpse of hope for him to recover. Previously he was involved in an accident as he was flung aside when a lorry hitted him from behind. His parents had stopped him from getting M/Bike licence as they know , he will definitely get a bike after gottn his licence. They had advice him to go for car licence and willing to sponser him 50/50 when it comes to getting a car. He refused. Very typical case of teenager wanting to own his own transport after getting licence. I have previously chatted with a few friends who own bikes for the reason why they choose it to be their source of transport and not a car???? Upon collation of the given reasons, the only reasonable and most logic reason given is "CHEAP" transport. I mean isnt ones life worth the money spent for a car???? Seeing bikers riding in the rain also have me thinking. No matter kana bang or you bang against anything, the damage done will be far more disastrous . Perhaps fellow road users here esp bikers can share with me why they choose to travel in a bike , having risk every ounce of their lifespan within the range of the lion's mouth ?????? One think for sure, I will never allow my daugther or son to own a bike. Unless he/she has a very strong reason of convincing me. I doubt so.....
  20. Hi, Anyone knows is bike rack with mountain bikes mounted allow to pass the SGP custom? When coming back SGP custom, the officer will normally ask you to open the boot for check but are they going to request the bikes to be dismounted for boot checking? Thinking of doing biking at mountainous fruit farm trail at Batu Pahat.
  21. Hey guys. Looking to get a mountain bike and I've always had the Trek brand imprinted in my mind for some reason. Must be damned good marketing or subliminal advertising going on there. Nope, I'm not an Armstrong fan and I didn't even know he rode one. LOL. Just wanted to gauge what the general populace thinks of this brand. Whether or not you're into biking, I'd like to see your views.
