Hi All

I am looking for rims and wondering if bros out there can recommend any one-stop-shop or your favourite shop? Looking for shop which carries wide range of designs and brands from Japanese like Wedsport/Advan and also non Japanese like OZ. And of course good price and service.

I ve been to a few shops and seems like nowadays hard to find japanese rims. One shop told me Jap Yen now very high they can't afford to hold stock so buyers have to indent in advance.

Even Stamford main showroom at Lok Yang also quite a few models they tell me no stock or last piece.

Appreciate any info given.

my observation not a single shop can meet your requirement.

Most shop carry lower cost rim from aisa and some replica mainly for ang mo car.

and some shop sell better quality rim focus on certain car model only.

So if you really want to find the rim you LOVE you got to go round and round shop and dont waste time to call (you probably received nonsence)

now aday reatiler only seriously serve serious customer.

and you are expecting to have many different comment about their product.

jpn rim very exp due to currency, taiwan rim no good, china rim very weak / ang mo rim very heavy / branded rim over price/this rim old model / very common [rifle] JMHO

Can try Leong Seng and Yap Bros....both almost side-by-side. Even McWell Venture over there had 5zigen. Can view 3 shops at one go.

For OZ can go YHI but for their tyres, unless you are a Yoko fan, there's not much else to choose from.

Think better for you to read mags and internet to shortlist the models and find the shop you like to bring in.

Actually that's the feeling i am getting (after going to few shops) that's why come here to see if anyone go lobang. I wish they can be like the car dealers all gather around Leng Kee. Park in one place then walk and see all the brands.

Consider south east tyres too. They carry a range a rims, mostly bbs last time I went, thus not the cheapest. Service is good though.

So far, my findings as such

LS - good service and quite good range of branded rims. OZ design quite nice, price still ok but heavy. Got limited wedsport there but not very suitable for my ride. Prodrive also expensive and didn't see anything i like.

Stamford - service also quite good overall (i went to 3 branches), mainly looking at wedsport (though don't really have the design i like) and rays (nice, light but expensvie)

Cheng An Da - lots of variety for non-branded rims (although design is not bad as they are replica of those branded rims). Of course not as light as branded rims but cheap. Gave me what i felt was a good offer $1200 for 18x8 rims with choice of PS3, S001, Asym 2 after trade in with my stock rims & tyres. Saw a SA60 replica with dark chrome and blue highlights quite nice.

Went to Yap (next to LS) but didn't see anything i like. I think basically if want to get replica then better go to CAD. So my decision now is whether to go all the way and get Rays forged rims at around $900-$1k per rim (w/o tyres) or cheapest solution of replica rims or somewhere in the middle like OZ - branded but heavy.
