Maxus-MIFA9 Supersonic July 23, 2012 Share July 23, 2012 The one next to CTE, why spend so much on ITE? more N level grads? without ITE conducting Vehicle Mechanic courses, you might have to go JB to repair car or more FW comes to repair car in SG and don't know whether they got cert or not & do a proper job. most MY mechanic are on working experience only, nonegot ITE cert like us .... ↡ Advertisement

Joseph22 Turbocharged July 23, 2012 Share July 23, 2012 Nothing wrong with ITE, i guess it is something wrong with the education system here. People only view good academic results, and if you do not have one, you are condemn for life. I saw one job ad looking for retail assistant and requirement is at least 3 'O' level?! I am thinking what is the connection in obtaining how many credits in 'O' level got to do with working as a retail assistant? maybe they will look at the 3 O credit? 2 for langauge and 1 for match?? Maxus-MIFA9 Supersonic July 23, 2012 Share July 23, 2012 Please be informed that ITE students doesn't mean condammed students. It just that they are slower learner and going through ITE, they can still attain a Degree coming out at the end of the education tunnel. If can't reach Degree, they could also attain Diploma Cert....

Maxus-MIFA9 Supersonic July 23, 2012 Share July 23, 2012 Once I was at a pedestrian crossing Bishan area.. Saw 3 ITE girls about to cross but chatting and smoking and walk slowly. I tap the horn of my ride (loud co's my car is performance car you see mist be loud for safety reason) and they show me middle finger and shouted at me like some crazy person.. I just wound down window and said something that struck the nerve in their deepest ego.. And revved off.. Oei.... I also saw RI, RJC, CHIJ (Toa Payoh)....etc. smoking... Better still, some times back last year, RI boys caught in illegal gambling den in Sin Ming area... So...... every schools got its own problem and down look down just because of some individuals. Dfx16 6th Gear July 23, 2012 Share July 23, 2012 I was told that there will be a live size Boeing inside it That ITE focus more on Aerospace engineering Aerospace is quite happening now in S'pore with Roll Royce also setting up a plant here
Maxus-MIFA9 Supersonic July 23, 2012 Share July 23, 2012 Let me update you on the new AMK, ITE. There will be 2 storey of shopping inside and the shops will be run by students who are also taking courses related to their work. One example is 'Hair Dressing'. If you want cheap hair cut and don't mind the skills of the hair dresser, then go there and let those students who are taking 'Hair Dressing' course to cut your hair. Its a win win situation as the student get to learn & experience and you get cheap hair cut.... They are also training counter staff to serve customers, cook, kitchen helpers.... etc. If there is no training chance given to Singaporean slow learners, then be expecting to see more FW coming to SG to work..

13177 Hypersonic July 23, 2012 Share July 23, 2012 maybe they will look at the 3 O credit? 2 for langauge and 1 for match?? Obtained credit or not doesnt mean the person cannot perform or can perform on the job lo. Until now i still dont understand how come people still look at the result back in our secondary or even primary school days. I personally think it doesnt really affect much on the performance of the person when he entered the job society.

(but u r interviewing for a assistant accountant).. that kinda thing i suppose? Edited July 23, 2012 by Rainbowbiatch

Should assess whether the person is hardworking or not to upgrade himself after that. ↡ Advertisement
