Sosaria Twincharged July 23, 2012 Share July 23, 2012 The one next to CTE, why spend so much on ITE? more N level grads? In fact, ITE must be "big" as you say, investing in more teaching aids, realistic simulations/components, and equipment, because their students are the type that mostly learn by doing. You really can't expect them to do much sitting around in a classroom and listening to lecture To keep them from getting restless and disruptive, very often there's a need to keep them busy working on practical stuff most of the time. So once there's a need to have all this equipment, teaching aids, hardware, etc. for the students to get their hands on, then of course, the facilities need to be bigger. ↡ Advertisement

RadX Moderator July 23, 2012 Share July 23, 2012 quite right there. More aids and hands on stuff required. Thing tht disturbing is the care the students accord to these facilities. Was reported recently how much they had been vandalised.....sad

Sp4wn Turbocharged July 23, 2012 Share July 23, 2012 The one next to CTE, why spend so much on ITE? more N level grads? why dont you tell us your qualifications first .. rather than to talk about others ... i know people who went to top tier schools, went to good uni, still looking for job. your threads seem to be either bo liao, or you're trying to trigger a very specific response. Gizmore Supercharged July 23, 2012 Share July 23, 2012 Even if there are some black sheeps among ITE student, it doesn't mean that the Government should stop building infrastructures for education. If you want student to acquire the skills and knowledge, you need to give them the necessary infrastructure for them to learn in a conducive environment. Whether or not these students make it or not, that is besides the point. The main thing is that there shouldn't be disparity as far as education goes. Nothing wrong with ITE, i guess it is something wrong with the education system here. People only view good academic results, and if you do not have one, you are condemn for life. I saw one job ad looking for retail assistant and requirement is at least 3 'O' level?! I am thinking what is the connection in obtaining how many credits in 'O' level got to do with working as a retail assistant?
