Which Camera is best for tours cars

Need to get those that have wide viewing angle one.

Thinkware Clair Pop is quite a contender.

Have a viewing angle up to 140 degree, and high tolerance of heat as the design is made to dissipate the heat out.

Price wise, not too sure. haha. my video recorder is MIC one, haven't spoil so never change.

Here's the video. Night quality is good.

Both Clair 2 & Clair Pop is only up to 1280x720p which loses to most cams nowadays which are true full HD 1920x1080p

SJ4000 daylight and night vision video clips.

Most complaints from product reviews, all the plastic fixture holders slip off camera position even with very tight forces wind the knobs, I would like to suggest cutting small pieces of paper and insert into the hinge gap and gently tightening with appropraite force will be able to keep your camera position stays firmly even in violent vibrations.

UPDATE 2: MOUNTS

When attempting to attach this to my motorcycle helment I discovered that however hard I tightened the screws on the hinge mounts, they could still be feely moved. My solution to this was to use sandpaper on the disassembled hinges to roughen up the shiny plastic. They now work how they should. I will demonstrate this in a new video when I manage to finally take this out on my bike...but unfortunately as soon as I finished mounting the camera to my helmet another storm blew in, so it's not going to be today.

I saw this techmoan.com reviews before by suggesting sanding the plastic surfaces rough, I find using cut paper insert into all the hinges is quickest and effective too.

Can anyone recommend a brand / model of camera for a car parked in an unsheltered carpark ?

I have tried 2 entry level Korean models bought from Qoo10 (Livue and Zalbar) and while they both seem to work ok in normal tempatures, once the car has been parked in the sun for a few hours the recorded video comes out all blurry until things cool down. Interestingly, the Zalbar records ambient temperature and the max reading tops out at 87 deg C. Because these cameras are fixed to the windshield, they are not covered by the reflective sunshade I use.

Both the Korean cameras I used also use capacitors and not batteries.

I'm not so much worried about the battery degrading in the heat, but the blurry video quality when the camera gets heated by the sun. Once it becomes hot, it needs to cool down before the video is usable again.

Hows the video on your G1W after parking in the sun for a few hours ?

Neutral Newbie

Sorry haven't got the time to upload it yet.. But will do it soon :)

I was amazed with it's quality after I changed from BlackVue 550 to this.. Even my friend's itronics was far from it. I think because of it's built-in Sony Exmor sensor 2.0

Anyway, I've bought it from here, apparently they are the sold distributor in SG :)

Can it withstand heat?

I am parking at outdoor carpark, hence looking around for something which can withstand heat.

Oh rest assure it definitely can withstand some serious heating!

I run the Panorama II-S 24/7 with the constant power supply and park daily from late morning onwards for at least 10hours , since the day I purchased this camera, outside my workplace which is scotching hot, as there are no trees or buildings in the surrounding.

Even my mobile phone suction cup which is from 3M has fallen off my windscreen at times but the camera is still recording perfectly with no defects or whatsoever happening! I was pretty amazed frankly...

But then again, as they have stated, it can withstand up to 90+ degree Celsius hence I doubt there is anything you should be worried about ;)

Cheers!

Supercharged

hi all,

One is a power bank and another is a cut-off device (for those who wired direct to the car battery). Both has it pros and cons....
