crowdstarter websites is just an alternative marketplace. one actually does not need an innovative product to start a crowdstarter campaign. perhaps, its just one way they are trying to sell the product at.

what most are doing is just to find a supplier (usually in china), redesign and rebrand an oem product and sell them. the advantage of using crowdstarter platforms is that it allows a 'mimumum" number of orders before the factory order is placed. minimizes risk of inventory issues.

Yes, you are right. if you are not on surveillance mode, no prob. If it's operating, it will shut down when it reaches its temperature threshold.

Then go for Blackvue DR750S two channel, front and back. I am using this one. Very good clarity at night and with 60fps, can capture fast moving object. It comes with cloud function also so u can view ur car surroundings remotely and even if your car is stolen, you will know its gps location.

If you want parking mode and cloud function, you need to install battery. It is as expensive as the camera. I have both. Also an additional sim card and wifi dongle for cloud function.

Adrianli, can get DR750-2CH below $500? Asked a few places all quoted at least $600.

Hi all,

I just purchased a 2nd car that already had a dash cam installed, when I left the dealership the camera was working however it kept asking for an SD card which I did not have at the time, so to stop the camera continuously asking for the SD card I decided to unplug the power cord. Once I got home I went to add the SD card and connect the power cord, however since doing that the camera does not work at all.

Can anyone provide any advice on what may have happened or how to fix, I have tried to reset the camera but have had no luck.

Thanks!

Anybody has setup additional camera (on top of front+rear combination) to capture the side ?

I'm thinking of adding another front camera but pointing inwards (towards passenger direction) to capture the side. But I'm not sure whether 130~140 FOV degrees sufficient to capture the side.

Any recommendation ?

Thanks
