RadX Moderator July 30, 2012 Share July 30, 2012 My condolences. Hope she recovers soon. Well, it is a 50% chance then. But Yes, Ectopic removal is urgent. I'd reckon they would do via laparoscopy and try not to damage the tube..

Wifey worried abt fertility... the eggs take alternate times to come from the ovaries, left, right, etc....so, rightfully, your chances are down to 50% from the norm

Elmo 4th Gear July 30, 2012 Share July 30, 2012 Wifey just admitted to hosp. Going for surgery to remove a tube . How good are chances of getting pregnant with one fallopian tube? Sorry to hear that bro. My wife's colleague went through the same situation. She did get pregnant again and gave birth to a healthy baby. Take care of yourself too. Calford 2nd Gear July 30, 2012 Share July 30, 2012 Yap most likely they will use laparoscopic salpingostomy to remove if the fallopian tube has not ruptured. This procedure may preserves fertility.

Nerdyfrog Neutral Newbie July 31, 2012 Share July 31, 2012 Bro Prince knows that. How-ever, his wife is worried about the fertility problem. So giving her some answers will keep her mind from wandering stray. Otherwise it may subsequently be detrimental to her health. Worried sick worried sick, keep worrying will definitely fall sick.
Roh96 6th Gear July 31, 2012 Share July 31, 2012 The same situation happened to my friend's wife several years ago. But now, they are happy parents to 2 healthy kids. My advise is don't worry about fertility, take good care and recover well first. If both of u are young and healthy, should not be a problem to conceive.

Lala81 Hypersonic July 31, 2012 Share July 31, 2012 Chances are lower definitely but that's what two ovaries are for! She should have a good rest. Short holiday might be a good answer. Nothing like some quiet couple time to get over these things.
Lala81 Hypersonic July 31, 2012 Share July 31, 2012 For healthy couples trying to procreate naturally, a rough guess is 80% chance of pregnancy within 1 yr. 90% chance within 2 yrs. Humans can be quite fertile!
