For those in the office. Need to be very careful on "scam" from your cyber security to test on awearness.

Also be careful during this period of ransomware as they may have also evolve.

The interesting findings is , once you are infected, the unlocked key is still in there somewhere .,somdont do anything and quickly ask another person to contact cybersecurity.

the +65 prefix showing on the caller id shows that the call originates from out of singapore, so thats always first red flag to decide to pick up or not ..

How to make the phone auto prevent +65 number?

Is it go in the setting, call reject, +65* ?

New '+' way to help consumers spot overseas spoof calls

Quote

All overseas calls will come with the "+" prefix by April 15 to help the users of more than nine million mobile phone lines here better identify possible scams.

Announced by Senior Minister of State for Communications and Information Janil Puthucheary yesterday, it is one of several measures the Government will roll out to protect citizens and their personal data.

"Scammers based overseas sometimes spoof calls to look like local calling numbers to target our citizens, such as by spoofing numbers that start with '65'," said Dr Janil during the debate on his ministry's budget.

I think the telcos and IMDA can do more to prevent scammers from calling us.

Any call with a + sign on front is an overseas call, even if it shows the SG country code (65).

my observation is that scammers are bouncing their overseas calls off our local lines.

have had people called me saying that they are returning a missed call from me.

anybody has the same experience ?

+65 calls are getting quite frequent, 1 every 1 to 2 days.
