While you're navigating half way, what happens when you get a incoming call ?

 

waseh...good qn. i've not encountered it before. (just coincidently no one calls for that period of time..hahaha) but assuming how smartphones work...screen should change to incoming call (you either reject or talk) finish liao then will be back to maps screen. (just guessing)

Well, you shouldn't be answering anyway while driving,

...but if you do, you might just miss that turn, when navigation is about to tell you to turn left or right.

 

Anyway, a dedicated gps is still the best choice.

I use bluetooth headset when driving, so no problem with answering calls.

bought garmin 2465 during PC Expo. due to it seems faster and touch screen is more responsive.

 

Does anyone know if upgrading the software will void the garmin warranty?

Just answer it. Not sure about android, but iPhone will have pop up notification center message.

The upgrading usually by Garmin.

 

And the GPS will spoil usually after warranty,

 

But again, I'm ok with changing a new GPS every few years.. Faster lock on plus more features.

Yup agree. That is why I replaced my 3 yrs old garmin 1460 with 3592 during this pc show. ;)

52LM@199, sama sama as 2465.

 

The former is 5" while latter is 4.3" IIRC.

 

2465 specs better thu.

 

I probably get a 2465 as a standby unit.

Garmin set do not spoil easily. My Garmin 610 still functioning till today and it was

bought long time ago and it was not cheap.

My brightness setting is at 40% because I want to conserve energy for long trip.

Even with the device plug into the car cigarette socket it can run out before I reach Penang

 

Now I use two sets for my trip just in case

 

The battery itself is not sufficient to last you on a long trip, that's why a Grmin Nuvi device is bundled with a charging cable to charge it especially when you are on the road so that you will never run out of juice. I have used so many Garmin models before and have never encountered such a problem. Something seems to be wrong with your charging cable. You shouldn't run out of juice on long trip. Have you go back to the retailer to complain about it?

Any feedback on marbella gps? Have kept on selling their promo and also oversea maps...

 

Read few not bad review from sgcarmart reviews..but wanna gather more feedbacks from here..
