2.) Streamline the withdrawing process.

Press pin, press language selection, press account selection and straightaway you just press the $50 option and hey presto, money. 5 to 10 seconds extra per head can snowball to quite some waiting time in a long queue.

I always press PIN, press MyATM, then take the $ and go. [rolleyes][thumbsup]

me leh.. i always draw 40 instead of 50.

i used to withdraw 80 so that i've some $10 bills to slowly use.

but now, money disappears so fast that i've no choice but to withdraw 200 every time i go ATM.

Had a discussion on HWZ regarding this.

is the $50 min at most popular POSBs these days really needed?

and whats their main purpose?

so they can deduct money from your account when it is below the min.....

I would say the reason is so that the ATM will not be drawn out of cash too fast and it can last longer. Each time Cisco loads cash into one ATM, it can take about 2-4 cartidge of cash notes, $50 in one cartridge will be 100k worth, and $10 denomination will only be 20k worth. They load 3 cartridge of $10 deno n 1 cartidge of $50 only $160k.. very fast finish as posb lot of customer withdraw small deno if available. So Cisco gotta go more than 1x per day so incur additional cost and when ATM runs out of cash, also creates customer service issues.

i think the more you draw, the more you spend.

so yeah whatever it is, it works to their advantage.
