As you know, Porsche is very conservative in this area. FL or new all go for subtle changes.

How come no one says no difference?

Guys can I get some advice, bought a used macan 2.0 with 3 more years of warranty on it.

Plan to do the android screen, bodykit, rims and change colour.

Understand that Stuttgart is very strict on their warranty policy so i decided to get the bodykit from them.

Problem is i don't find their selection of rims nice and the prices for their rim is astoundingly high.

Can I go for aftermarket rims such as BC forged, BBS etc? is it true they really anal about this warranty thing?

And the android system is supposed to cover the current screen+CD player. Not sure if there are any repercussions.

Thanks in advance

Macan facelift:

https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/products/porsche-macan-2018-compact-suv-world-premiere-shanghai-design-comfort-connectivity-driving-dynamics-15890.html

Would be interested in more details of the new powerplants, and if the base would, in fact, be getting the Golf R I4 power plant with the 296 (?) bhp. The introductory brochure is short on details:

Supersonic
The new Porsche Macan hints at the next 911  [confused]

https://www.topgear.com/car-news/suvs/new-porsche-macan-hints-next-911

It’s the new Porsche Macan! And just like most Porsche reveals, you’d be forgiven for thinking it might still be the old Porsche Macan. At least at the front.

Around the back, though, it gives us a decent hint of some of the next 911’s design cues, with its long horizontal strip of lights. It certainly boldens up the rear of Porsche’s smallest SUV, and it’s a feature that’ll notably evolve the 911’s styling too.

rp_-_2018_macan-4.jpg?itok=cnwQr9lV

Otherwise it’s broadly as before – the front lights and wheel designs have been tweaked, but it’s still recognisably a Macan. Porsche’s incremental evolution of its model’s looks isn’t just reserved for the sports cars. New colours include Miami Blue and Crayon (a lovely flat grey), familiar from the 911 and 718 ranges.

Inside, a new 11in touchscreen adds a whole load of map and voice recognition goodies as well as the one we’ve all been waiting for – an ioniser to better control interior air quality. Phew. The cruise control now comes with autonomous acceleration, braking and steering in slow-moving traffic.

New options include a ‘GT’ sports steering wheel, which gets Porsche’s latest driving mode selection dial and – as seen here – lashings of Alcantara. While the interior gains some of the company’s recent tech, it retains the traditional plastic buttons of the old Macan, rather than acquiring the fancy gloss haptic-feedback layout of the latest Panamera. The Macan’s bank of buttons might not look as cool, but they’ll arguably be more ergonomic on the move.

And below the surface? The chassis has enjoyed some ‘fine-tuning’ and new tyres, still wider at the rear axle, for better handing. If you’re wondering why we’ve not mentioned engines yet, that’s because Porsche hasn’t either. We expect a handful of turbocharged petrols, culminating in GTS and Turbo performance versions, but no diesel. At least until everyone gets their head around the new ‘WLTP’ emissions regulations. Prices will likely rise a little, but still kick off below £50,000.

Playing around with the configurator on Porsche China:

https://cc.porsche.com/icc_euro/ccCall.do?rt=1532577557&screen=1920x1080&userID=PACCE&lang=ce&PARAM=parameter_internet_ce&ORDERTYPE=95BAG1&CNR=C33&MODELYEAR=2019&hookURL=https%3a%2f%2fwww.porsche.com%2fchina%2fen%2fmodelstart%2fall%2f

The 20" RS Spyder wheels are gone, replaced with 21" ones  [:(]. Hopefully, Singapore will still offer the 20" Spyders.

There's no mention of the availability of PSCBs.

Used to have mixed feelings about the previous lights, more because of the expanse of metal between them (too smooth and unbroken), even if they were distinctive.

Now that there are gone, the new lights take some getting used to.

At least they "tried" to differentiate the strip from that in the Cayenne, and there is still the 3D, sculptural, surface treatment.

the 3D tail light looks nice on the Cayenne but on the Macan with a small backside and lower back it makes the Macan's rear look overly crowded and heavy

.....myself still prefer the original tailights of the Macan although others may see otherwise.
