Wanted to check what is my loss if she play punk and lets say next mth she wants to go home for blah blah.. do i need to cover her airticket back? when we hire her, she also left her ex employer mid way thru cus someone passed away in family.. i just wondering ,, where got so coincidence

If she really does do that, consider it as a form of "bonus" since she has already worked for your family for more than 1 year.

Be compassionate. If the 1 month of her salary is not that significant to you, then what's the big deal?

My maid has been with me for 3 years when she asked for $6K loan to buy land/house. The amount is a lot but considering we are helping someone to have a better life and the trust we have in her, we gave her the loan. Anything could happen during the loan period but that the risk we are willing to take.

Off course we have monthly payment plan for her and this month is the last payment. [:)]

Money is no big deal but some of us don't like to be cheated, even for small amounts.

If u can trust your maid with "property-residential" and your kids i don't see an advance of one month salary should cause u any headache. Infact is more benefical for you as your mind won't be tricking u to think...what if..your maid ...at home...plus plus..plus...

Be a bit more understanding and compassionate since the sum not huge. Your one month petrol surely more than her one month salary. [drivingcar]

And the rest of us tends to value compassion and taking a chance more than massaging our egos to ensure that we will never be so stupid as to get cheated. Different priorities and I'm not surprised which is more important to the likes of yourself.
