Hello!

I'm trying to get some RC batteries for a small project.

It shd be 12.5~14.4V, 2000~4000mAH, able to withstand fast recharge / discharge and has long lifespan. Preferably c/w warranty for manufacturing defects.

Can anyone here intro me a good place (shop) / website to get them at reasonable (good) prices?

The old RC Infinity track was in Queentown off Margaret Drive.

BK moved to Bottletree park in Sembawang/ Yishun close to Khatib camp, he then sold off the tracks (offroad & on road) and moved to 81 Ubi Ave 4 #02-15 (www.racecraftrc.com), tel no. 62721161.

The RC tracks and shop in Bottletree park has been taken over by another group of RC guys (Raceworks Hobby).

I know BK since his first shop in Tiong Baru, I used to race RC touring cars in 2000~2003.

Cheers

Hi

I would suggest you look at Li Po batteries. For higher voltages of 12.5~14.4V, you will need to be looking at flying RC model batteries. You will have better luck checking out the following hobby shops in SGP

Jet Hobby ( http://www.jethobby.com.sg/cgi-bin/ezsite/index.cgi )

Rotor Hobby (http://rotor.com.sg/)

Sky Hobby (http://www.skyhobbies.com.sg/)

You will need a good Li Po charger too, with balancer and please don't forget a flame retardant bag to put the batteries in while you charge them.

Cheers

Welcome to R/C hobby!!!

Google HobbyKing, they are the largest online supplier of cheap lipo battery for R/C. Also many cheap R/C hooby stuff.

U require 3 cell lipo battery for ur application.

3 cell lipo, norminal voltage 11.1V. Fully charged 12.6V.

Each lipo cell, norminal voltage is 3.7V. Full charged 4.2V.

Currently, fastest charging is 5C and highest discharge rate is 65C. Look for Turnigy brand, cheap n good.

Premium brands like Thunderpower (USA) or Gensace (China) cost a premium. Google their name.

Or u can support local, Revolectrix. Made in Singapore, Depot road there but charges in USD. :o

Nope. No SG shops selling Turnigy. Shipping normally takes a week to a month depends on shipping method chosen.

How many amps will ur device be drawing??? If not too much, go for lower C specs.

See the price difference between local and overseas :

You can look for Ronald from singapore hobby supplies

Website: www.singahobby.com

Our UAV guys get their LiPo from him.

Should look for his father, Johnny instead. [laugh] Their stuff are not exactly cheap but very good customer service. The mother, Betty, a bit blur abt R/C stuff thou.
