Hi i am on 18 inch tyres now Michellin i think, very amazing tyres and grip but very noisy. SP whole car liao still like tank sound in cabin haha.

Can anyone recommend me tyres of the below specs? I dont believe those tyres shop

Car - Lancer Ex 2.0 CVT

Price - Max $300 per tyres

Requirement -

Low Noise (IMPORTANT)

9/10 Wet & Dry Grip (IMPORTANT)

Low Rolling Resistance

Size 18 Inch

I was at a tyre shop few month ago, he told he if i using good tyres now i change to low end type i will not get used to it as i do hardcornering with stock suspension sometimes

Also feel like changing my suspension but cant afford to lose the comfort haha any recommendation?

TIA

I experienced Good Year Eagle F1s being a good blend of both performance and value.

Quiet enough and grip is good enough , price also not very expensive.

comfort or quietness comes at the expense of grip.. the best performance tyres tend to be abit noisy still.

ts if your priority is on comfort (low noise), then do sacrifice on some grip. toyo should be the obvious choice

currently running on

michelin pilot super sport= grip 9/10, noise 5/10

based on the past tyres i've tried-

ps2/ps3= grip 8.5/10, noise 6/10

conti csc3= grip 8/10, noise 4/10

dunlop dz101= grip 7/10, noise 6/10

dunlop lm730= grip 6/10, noise 3/10

eagle f1 a2=grip 8/10, noise 5/10

toyo c1s= grip 7.75/10, noise 2.5/10

toyo t1r= grip 8/10, noise 3/10

federal 595= grip 7.75/10, noise 7/10

* no tyres will ever get 10/10, the last one mark is for your own right foot and steering control

ts i think c1s might be the right choice for u. price wise is 200+ range. hope this helps

oh and btw. dont bother changing ur stock suspension. makes the whole ride bumpy and unpleasant just for a few good corners and speeding routes.

i myself am quite a fierce corner taker, but i couldnt live with a bumpy ride. (previously changed to bilsteins and thought they were bad enough)...

eventually, what i did was change the anti-roll bars, front strut bars, run staggered 19'', and not changing my old springs. the car sits on a 3 finger front gap and 2 finger rear gap. and i feel the compromise is comforatble enough for me.

I concurred.. Toyo c1s is value for money imho. but if you have no probs parting more $$ from 300/piece, go for ps2/3..
