Merging Lane

And lastly, though left arrow started to appear on the merging way, it doesn't mean that car on left has the right of way; likewise if right appear first. All it meant was "please merge in alternate sequence" but sadly, very few can comprehend this.

i face this situation daily...some drivers just don't want to merge in an alternating way.

You all dunch understand.

Now is AFF Suzuki Cup time, so all Suzukis must AFF, Accelerate Fast & Furious.

After second leg play finish the Suzuki drivers will then resume normal driving style.

Noted your pts as well as a few bros that think I driving in between two lanes even before merging lane.

The below video is from the front cam. Check out the lane marking and if I adhere to lane discipline.

Welcome all comment.

seems like you are not sticking to the lane before merging lane. you are trying to block the faster car to go in front of you before the merging.

either your driving skill not that good or you intentionally block the other car from overtaking you.

Ok....from the front camera view.

TS is driving perfectly in the merging lane!

TS is correct and won in the acceleration game with the S4X.

In this case the white Suzuki is a sore loser, who horn just because it lost out in speed and almost cause accident.

I find nothing wrong wiTh TS driving style.

Submit the video to LTA. Driving on the chevron markers is an offence, can be fined.

Lucky he never hit the motobike, notice how close shave the motobike is. This kind of impatient driver is really finding trouble one day and hopefully TP can take action against the driver to make road safer.

Provided u r driving a higher powered car.

Given the short length of the merging lane, and both cars are already rolling at certain speed.

Your acceleration from say 50km/hr till 180km/hr, must be significantly faster then TS car in order to overtake successfully.

Not easy to overtake even if you drive a Sub 4sec sport car.

Taking into account that TS is very observant and also accelerated to block the white car.

The only chance to overtake, is the surprise factor, whereby you accelerate earlier before TS realized it.

This white S4X must be thinking he is playing Fonza racing game, where cars can accelerate and overtake so easily.

I'm sure a lot of folks use merge lane almost on a daily basis and would have encounter countless impatient drivers who would do just about anything to gain that additional car length to stay ahead.

I had my fair share as I use AMK ave 3 to CTE everyday to work. My experience is to merge at the earliest possible time to prevent such impatient drivers from trying to pull a trying-to-squeeze stunt. Cut these impatient drivers off as early as possible to prevent going into the such tight situation.

TS vehicle is on the left lane and there is nothing wrong with him having to speed up since technically he isn't going to overtake any other car. The white vehicle clearly lacks the pace to overtake and by the time it catches up, the lane narrowed to the point where it is not possible to accommodate 2 vehicle. With TS's vehicle in front, the natural thing is to exercise COMMON SENSE to slow down and allow TS car to merge in instead of continue to try to force in to get ahead of the merge.

I hope to see a version of the video from the Sx4 behind...

Sorry but what i can see is the SX4 is impatient but TS also trying to block him intentionally knowing he wants to overtake...

just drive safe and if the person wants to overtake, there is sufficient space to allow that...

just give in...

Important thing is to be safe...

Yes, but nearing the end of the clip, motobike had a close shave with SX4 because of SX4 action. Although nothing had happened, but that does not mean he to be let off and let it happen over and over again if there is.

u mean its a SHE driver?? [sweatdrop]

Yes. Is a SHE. The other time I encountered same situation with a Vios, also a SHE. Not trying to imply anything. Just coincidence.

Interesting view, bro. I view the front cam several time again after seeing your comment. Maybe you can point out to me which part I am not sticking to the lane? Unless you are talking about the part after the horn, where two lane merge again to become 1.
