Hi, my 2007 Mazda 5 when idling e.g stop at traffic light, I can feel the engine vibrate and seems going to stall although it has not happen yet. I am worried it may not be a good sign and possibly of potential problem or the car suddenly stalled. The problem seems only happen when idling...Anyone can advise what could be the cause of it ? Any recommendation for a workshop in the west who is familiar with Mazda cars to solve this problem ? Thanks in advance.

have you ever replaced your engine mounting?

perhaps its the mounting that is causing the vibration afterall you've said the car only seems like its going to stall but has never stalled before, perhaps this is an indicator that your problem isn't serious

To check if it is engine mount issue, engage gear in D mode with your legs stepping on the brakes, check to see if vibration occurs. Then switch to neutral or park. If the vibration is reduce or disappear, then likely hood it is engine mount. Replace all mount and all issues wil be gone. Damage should be about 400 to 500 bucks for a bread butter car.

Do take note of the rpm when the vibration kick in. It the idle rpm went too low it will have big vibration too. That I am not too sure what cause it
