No lah. Go check out first. Come 17 Aug cannot watch Liao unless you sign new package or pay $59.90 for BPL. Me went down to Singtel and they took 40 minutes to explain to me.

 

I just checked again. I do not have to sign for new package but continue to pay as per my existing (expired) contract of S$25 a month.

The $12 no for the set top box. It is a must to have a singtel telephone line in order for you to watch the BPL if you are currently not a singtel mio tv customer. Singtel will bill you $36 every 3 mths just for the telephone line on top of your mio/BPL plan.

 

if u have fibre shouldn't need phone line right.

If your fiber broadband are with other telco and still under contract, then you should contact them instead of SH.

 

So, well a miss opportunity for some who is still under contract fiber or broadband with other telco and starhub as it makes no sense to have early termination fees or early re-contract fees for fiber or broadband just to switch to starhub for BPL.

Ya.. for ST case, unless you re-contract, your existing plan stays even if it's obselete liao.. at least that's what applies to mobile plan..

I just called starhub, the customer service say a package is a must to watch BPL. So I ask, I already had fiber broadband, can I don't include the fiber package and charge lower cost. The person say no. Is either I re-contract fiber package or with a new one. So for those whose starhub broadband still under contract, I do not know whether they will wave off the early re-contract fee or to impose penalty for early re-contract due to need to take up the package.

 

Huh, u mean I just want to subscribe to BPL on SH box without any package and forgo the $300 rebate cannot?? Then lidat no choice I stay with ST liao cos my internet and mobile phone all already ST. My SH is standalone for SCV only.

Yup, ST should make it clearer though. I'm sure there are some who just returned their boxes without realising.

Boy, am I glad that I have cured myself from the EPL BPL addiction eversince SingTel came into the field! Hehe.. rehabilitated and liberated!!

Does it mean if agree to get this SH $47.70/mth bundle, the subscription rate for BPL would be $59.90 x 12 - $300?

I thought with the newer fiber services, you don't need to have landline to connect for MIO TV?

 

That's my case.. My internet and mio tv all connect via my fiber connection..

 

ST don't even charge me anything for the box rental, so i just pay whatever i content i watch on MIO (which is BPL only). Don't need to subscribe to what basic group like SH..

 

im stil on old Singnet BB so need the landline. my combination is ST landline + SNBB + Mio Box. also no box rental, just $30 for BPL, ESPN, F1 but no Champ League and FA Cup. ya no basic group too.
