Like the calculation given earlier viz. Distance over time.

 

Agar agar will give a figure like 100 or 105, not specific as 104km/h

 

Distance/Time yield speed...but that is on a constant...the car was speeding up so speed was variable. Can lah...but I guess wanna calculate the speed...they do not need to have the whole distance...just take 3 lamp post (roughly 100m) divide by the time take to travel from 1st to 3rd can get a good average liao. But have to take before impact...cos earlier on when the car is accelerating...it should be lower than before impact.

TP has forensic data/studies/equipment/tables etc to calculate speed based on skid marks and stuff like that.

 

It's a science unto itself and they do have people trained in it.

Most people when they just had a major accident they will be in shock and removing the DVR or memory stick will be the last thing they will think of doing.
