If you look at the Mazda 3 thread, Eurokars also have problem delivering car book during the 57k COE booking.

The brothers there also share that for this weekend Car Expo -- Eurokars offering Mazda 3 with free upgrade Guaranteed bidding. If Car Expo this weekend AD/PI secure lotsa of booking, next bidding, I don't think COE will drop. Most probably remain the same.

Just sharing

Obviously so, when car distributors are allowed by law to control the market.

Nope. I m of the opinion the COE will not increase anymore in the next 4 bids.

Furthermore the pricing was based on current COE price. If COE doesnt increase in the next 4 bids, I should get it. Isn't it? Else why would they state the package price as such?

It still comes with $500 shell fuel vouchers and free 1 year servicing.

Once you clear the backlog, COE should soften. Cat A prices now unsustainable.

Relax hah. The experience will make you a better buyer next time.

Be patient. I waited 6 month before I saw a good bargain and time to book my Toyota Wish. Rem, you have until 2018 (by end 2018 COE will start to rocket again)...

1) Get Guaranteed bidding with trade in

2) Shop around to get the best price for your current ride.

3) Have alternative choice if BM play hardball. Like getting Mazda3, Honda Vezel, Nissan Qasqhai or other make...Must be willing to walk away if you don't get what you want.

4) Everytime when I go shopping for a new car, I bring all my kids. This to tell the SE, that I am seriously looking for a new car and willing to commit...

I have 2 more bidding and my CNY contract will end end May. I too want to know if anyone has got their deposit back or got their car....let's see after Wed bidding, what happen...

Since AD 'control' price, can they get together and clear all the CNY backlogs by bidding low coe next few rounds?

AD will most probably try to clear those Guaranteed plus those who book at higher COE booking. Only then they will cleared those who booked at lower COE (CNY 57k booking).

Last COE bidding showed Cat A prices already at threshold, IE @ unsustainable level, but how much it MAY / MAY not correct depends on the backlog AD/PI have at hand plus Car Expo booking.

I suspect it will only clear Jun/July....

Yes I am also waiting till maybe July bids before I feel it will decline below 60k.

I rejected last week offer of 116k to gamble on saving a few k more...

yap agree.....will know how to nego for a better deal in future as this entire experience have defintely open me up . Guess back then i was too easy on the SE as my first experience with BM was a damn good one, non guaranteed COE and got it at the 2nd attempt. But alas, this time round became a roller coaster ride and the ball game is totally with them after penning down the signature on a dotted line

And something i've learnt is SG is a buyers market, after money out liao, we totally have no control/say over how things work which is sad. We have very poor laws to protect consumers like us...haiz

They will be more COE September onwards. Once Supply reach a certain threshold, the price will definitely drop. Look at good vehicle, they increase supply by 90 percent more, and prices drop substantially.

Must understand Spore car buyer mentality. They have certain threshold -- price at certain level, they stop buying, price around 57k, they all rush in....

Non guaranteed COE is good when you know that COE will correct. For example last bid before CNY. Because majority of Singaporean who are Chinese will try to get new car before CNY. If you monitor the COE market, there will be certain month that is good to book your car. CNY frenzy happen few years back with Borneo Motors also....

2nd -- When Spore Govt announce new policy changes, like surprise the market with larger than expected supply.

3rd -- When COE prices for Cat A is 1 year high, and you know there will be impending supply coming on stream. More likely than not you will get your COE within 2-3 bid.

4th -- CEVS factor. People are rushing bec of CEVS factor in July. They assume that price will increase. I don't think so. In fact I think AD/PI will instead offer discount and freebies to attract car buyer who will keep away bec of high COE prices. Like I share previously, AD/PI are VERY GOOD at creating demand.

the FC of the new 1.8L Corolla is surprisingly good. i just drove one on the US highway at an average speed of 110km/h. For a distance of about 665.6km (416 miles), the fuel needle is just slightly below the half tank mark. no horse run! [bounce2]
