Don't remember C interior have much shiny chrome. If you are talking about the matt chrome bits like the touchpad surround, centre armrest button trim or the seat adjustment buttons. They do not show up finger prints at all.

Only thing is if you opted for the piano black lacquer centre console, you are in for a finger prints/swirl marks ride...... Only solutions are to apply protective vinyl stickers or put on protective plates. Search on taobao/aliexpress.

The PRC C class although LHD, the centre consoles are interchangeable with ours. Just make sure specify NON-long wheel base C class.

yeah i just realised! called elebest to quote then i called the SA to add options right after that! maybe i shd have researched a bit more heh..

anyways, how do you guys keep your chrome interior fingerprint and scratch free? are there any good products on the market for this?

I have no problem with the chrome bits but had trouble keeping the piano black central console oil and dust free. Changing to real wood option aftermarket is too ex so got it wrapped with matt CF sticker. No more finger prints and cannot see the dust through the CF pattern camouflage. Works well enough for me at that price.

Nice

I wonder if they do prints for the dash?

Eg convert the "Line" silver dash to the Eucalyptus finish:

I suppose wrapping with the console in situ is still possible but I guess the end results may not be satisfactory, especially at the rounded and curved edges. They removed the central console and there are a lot of wires to disconnect behind the console. I think need to remove it so that the edges can be wrapped properly. Also, it looks like the most difficult part was the removal of the 3 round aircon vents from the console. I am not a DIY person so I left it to the pros.

Hi. How long would you need to wait for the delivery?

Original delivery is Oct/Nov but I don't need the car until late Nov or early Dec.  I need my current car (MPV) to move house around Oct/Nov time frame, only to move small items e.g. clothes etc.

The piano black central console is it standard or there are other options? After seeing some bros here mention it is harder to maintain I might want to change it.

This video will give some tips:

(wish my rep was as hot :)

Thanks bro!

Neutral Newbie

Hi,

Sorry, I do not want to hijack this topic. Anyone know when SLR car plate will be on the road e.g. Aug or Sept 2017

Many Thanks

Thanks bro!

What i do is to clean it with a microfiber clother w some quick detailer and apply a layer of pure wax on it. Keeps it shiny and finger prints come off easy.

There are wood panel options, at a price of course.

That ( and the Burmeister sound system ) are what I had wanted at the time of purchase but then, the SE told me that these fitted cars will need to be on an indent basis and have to wait for some more months, in addition to the already 5 months waiting time for the standard car. Its seems that they don't have such 'options fitted' cars ex stock and has to produce made to order. Also, with that, she cannot promise the agreed upon COE price and various discounts that we have already agreed on. That's why no choice but to stick to the standard trim.

Of course, you can change to wood panel options after market but at a price.

Thanks for the info, bro.  I guess I will just stick to the standard trim then.

Another question - regarding the gear lever, I understand it's fitted behind the steering wheel.  To all existing MB owners here, will there be a risk of us accidentally changing the gear from Drive to Neutral or Reverse while driving?  I think the worst would be if we accidentally depress the silver button (P) quite easily?

Wow thanks for sharing the video! Nerve wrecking indeed LOL.

I guess it's true that nowadays modern cars are built with some sort of intelligence.  I'm going to assume the transmission would not engage the Reverse, Neutral or Parking gear when the car is not stationary, there's some kind of interlock at play here.
